Teams always unbalanced

Does anyone else feel like they always get awful teammates? It feels like the majority of my games involve the entire rest of my team going way negative, despite how good or bad I do. Like instead of making a team out of similarly skilled people, it throws together 1 or 2 good players and 2 extremely low skilled players and calls it an even match.

I tried playing 3 games this morning and they were all like this. For example, one of those games was on Pitfall. I love that map and was excited to find that the other team was really good and posed a serious challenge. But my team was awful. I had absolutely no support from them, so we lost. Our K/Ds ended up being:

Me- +3
TM2- -16
TM3- -5
TM4- -18

It feels like 80 percent of my games are like that. If we win, it’s because I managed to be really on my game and come out with a really positive k/d that overcame my teammates’ awfulness. If we lose, it’s because I wasn’t on my game and all of my other teammates did even worse than I did.

I can play a few games a day and end up with quite a few matches where my team won and my k/d ended up in the positive double digits and all of my other teammates went negative in the double digits.

Does anyone else deal with this?

team slayer?

i know what u mean, i think everyone does, who plays alone most of the time…there are those 2 extremes. 1. where u are in the good team, domninating the match ending up with a good K/d and 2. the opposite, and i don’t like both of them. what i like are even matches. unfortunately they won’t occur often.

it’s a shame, when u know that u could actually beat the other team, if your teammates weren’t that awful. i have no problem with teammates who are not that skilled, but are still able to not leave all the work to you. but it happens too often that my team consists of -Yoinks!- who don’t even know how to use a controller

aand this imbalance is, of course, caused by grouped up teams… of course they can’t remove this, BUT and i have thought of this so many times, wouldn’t it be cool if there would be playlists (beside the normal ones) where u can’t play with groups? not only rumble pit but also team slayer? unbalanced teams would be gone. it hardly would happen that skilled players are in one team and the bad ones in the other… gosh i’d love that

A lot of this could be solved if they stopped matching teams of randoms with teams of people in the same party. I don’t understand why they don’t do that. Maybe there aren’t enough players left to be that choosy.

I’ve been getting this since even before the Weapon Tuning update. It’s why I’ve given up on playing Halo 4 for competitiveness (win/loss) and now only play for personal gain (raising my K/D). Of course, I hate playing only for K/D, so I really just don’t play anymore.

Matchmaking is messed up period, they will do nothing to support this game as they are working hard on the next one…

I had a thread the other week to tighten up the CSR within a game b/c it’s a joke when a CSR 40-50 is in a game with CSR 25-35’s and they just clean up all of the lower CSR players.

The game is entirely no fun for the semi-competitive casual gamer, getting torn up 3-1 or more. The easy way out is to just quit playing and move on to games that everyone is on a equal playing field for their skill level, especially for an online FPS. (Hmm, population is rather low compared to a year ago…)

And we have to pay $50 a year for x-box live while the PS3 is free…(Last time I played)

I experience this same phenomenon every time I play Ricochet. It’s odd since it literally happens every match I play.

I usually play Ricochet with 1 friend and we both need to put in our best possible effort to have any hope of winning.
Sometimes even that isn’t enough. For example, I scored 1130 points the other day (which is my personal record) but our team still lost :frowning:

unfortunately there are many guys on ricochet, who are interested in getting many kills, in the first place

I have the same problem, but the other way around.

I’m one of those guys who goes negative. It makes it hard to have fun when the matchmaking is so unbalanced that there are always players much better (like the OP) who wipe the map with the rest of us.

Same here i tried to play Reach team sl with randoms and it was frustating. i got paired up with parties of four and my teamates were awaful.Tried bigteam then got matched up with parties of eight about half my team quit less then a 2 min.In halo 4 bigteam sl i usually got paired up with worst halo players ever. They go -16,-20…Then i have to play realy well to have a chance for win. Happens all the time now. I just wanna relax and not worrie about my teamates dying all the time.
