My kills aren’t registering in a consistent manner when it comes to bosses. I’m not talking about the ‘commendation versus medal confusion’, but instead my problem is with getting the kill at all, even after unloading five full rounds from my DMR or BR.
It seems, not only do I have to put in a significant amount of damage for the kill to count, but I also have to be doing that damage for the last half or last quarter of its health to count towards the kill.
This is a problem since not everyone has a sizable req pool. Sometimes I have to go after a Phaeton with a DMR or BR, but why even bother if after chipping away at its damage for two minutes - along with another teammate using Whiplash - the kill isn’t counted for. The second problem is the bullet sponge quality to enemies. Chipping away at health is often the way to do it, and so if you can get the enemy to half health, and your teammates finish up chipping away, you’re very likely not to be rewarded the kill.
I suggest implementing what Original Warzone does: having even a single shot or two count towards the kill (well assist, as the medal is given, but not the commendation).
