Teammate Joined

litterally everything is annouced in Halo 4 including when people join your game. just a new fact to get out there

This announcement was always there in the previous Halos.
Except is was:
“Team-mate gained”
It also gives you some kind of morale boost.

Good thing we have a thread for this now

I sincerely hope the audio options allow turning the commentator on/off.

So long as I don’t have to hear if enemies join/leave I’m fine.

Last thing I want to hear is “enemy left” and “enemy joined” 1364781278410 times while statting in BTB.

lol yeah, that would get annoying fast.

There is so much commenting in Halo 4. I can already hear the delay i’m going to be hearing from Jeff thru my headset.

an option to turn off the announcements seems like something so huge yet simple. It seems designed for new players just figuring out the game. i think killing sprees and other medals should just pop up in text if audio turned off

Agreed I want options…

Team call outs and team communicating would be alot easier with it off

It’d be nice to have the option to turn specific announcements off, because the amount of things that get announced are just excessive and pretty much guaranteed to get annoying.

If they won’t let us do that, then then the option to turn groups of announcements off (perhaps groups like individual announcements, or for gametypes) would be good, but if that’s still too much then just give us the option to turn them all off.

Literally anyone that plays in a party and communicates will find the vast majority of announcements not only useless but a hindrance.

And why do we need overshield and flag carrying announcements? The sight of the shield bar going green with that ‘overshield generating’ sound or the sight of us picking up the flag is plenty enough.

About time.

I do hope that there are still quit bans though. Even if I get new teammates, I think the one who quit out should be punished.

Except you couldn’t join games in progress for the previous halo games?

Unless it happened for customs but I can’t remember anything of the sort.

I really hope you can turn down the announcer in Halo 4 it’s just so overkill

You picked up the flag, uh yeah thanks
