Teammate, come pick up my ordnance!

Have you guys ever tried to get a teammate to pick up a Sniper, Rocket Launcher, or another good weapon off the battlefield?

From time to time, I always have my hands full with 2 power weapons. I’ve killed many enemies before that dropped power weapons just to have my teammate(s) run past them. I try shooting at (not actually hitting them, but close to them) my teammates to get their attention and then shoot at where the weapon is to try to signal my teammates to come pick it up.

Sometimes I call in an Ordnance when I already have weapons I am very satisfied with, and everybody just ignores my Ordnance drop when I want them to go and pick it up. I want to help the team.

I remember the times in Halo when most people did not play muted, so we could communicate well and play a lot better. We could request for help, create plans, get to know one another. These days, so many players play Halo muted. I can understand why. There are so many rude, ignorant and annoying people who have moved on to my beautiful Halo that had a much brighter community. The Halo community is degrading, and some of the people here on the Waypoint forums are proof of that.

How long does your Ordnance choices last? Do you have a set time limit of how long you can take to choose them?

nope, I usually keep mine the whole game because I’m intercepted before I can get it down (on smaller maps) it just stays at the top of the screen.

I keep mine until I die. I’ve gone on Killing frenzies while not using my ordinance and it still be around when I eventually die.

Yeah, this forum is really horrible. Um, that’s not sarcasm btw…

Beware, when you hold ordnance you cannot make progress to the next ordnance. I’d get it out somwhere safe like a patch of tall grass so you can make progress and have the weapon for you on the field.

Unfortunately, I kept respawning on the other side of harvest as my ordnance… and when I finally got it a ghost splattered my teammate nearby… then I died as though I’d been splattered. WTF? He didn’t even drive into me, I was on high ground on top a rock! He drove AROUND the rock splattering my teammate, but apparently that means he splattered me too. Probably the worst time I’d ever been splattered.

Speaking of which, where’s the wraith? Wraith>Mantis so where is it??? Something that big can’t be hiding… There’s seriously not enough wraith’s in BTB. Put one in valhalla even and I’ll show 'em who’s boss.
