The population for Team Throwdown is so dangerously low, (even was before Action Sack) that it might get removed. It’s the best (opinion) playlist out there for Slayer, and I’m more casual than competitive. What, are you people crazy? Has the world ended? What were all of those threads back when asking for again?
Throwdown is basically the mlg playlist. And mlg playlists no matter what game they are in are always low. I personally enjoyed throwdown until i played deluxe settings then I said i was never playing the playlist again.

They took too long. Like, should-have-been-available-on-release too long. Not only that, but many dont consider it a classic playlist (it isnt) because of certain mechanics that were left in or werent removed. So, like most people who are disatisfied with a product, many either stopped playing it, or returned it to the store. I am of the former group, and my copy is gathering dust on a shelf as we speak.

And also this I was expecting classic halo not 343’s spin on classic.

What’s wrong with deluxe settings? I rather play Deluxe than Infinity Slayer in its current state.
I don’t know, I just didn’t like the maps on the rotation for Throwdown. I’m enjoying the Majestic playlists way too much to be playing on that.
IMO Throwdown should be taken out and return in the future.

Why did they even add the deluxe variants? They aren’t even that competitive.
I think it’s because it still has the freaking AA’s that the old community wanted thrown out of Team Throwback… Also with a name like Team Throback how the heckk are you suppose to know what it is. They really need to add a Team Classic (and make it classic) in and get rid of Throwback.
Classic(No Sprint, 4SK BR)> Slayer/ Doubles Pro> V2> Deluxe> Infinity.
Throwdown will be getting new settings soon-ish. Hopefully they do away with Personal Ordnance.
Team throwdown sucks its pretty much H3 with better graphics and H3 is boring as hell.

Classic is the most competetive settings you can get?
Deluxe was added for people that wanted the dmr in their loadouts. 343 knows the dmr is op, because they wouldn’t have tried to balance the loadouts.
The dmr loadout has no Armor Ability or support upgrade, unlike the others. It took this long to get a competitive playlist, but it’s not really what I had in mind.
So I can see why people don’t really care for it. I’d still like a classic playlist.

Is that a question? I don’t see what your getting at. Classic which isn’t even a thing yet, should be stripped down Slayer without AA’s, Sprint, Personal Ordnance or Instant Respawn. It could definitely be a competitive playlist since it is perfectly balanced between all players.
Shutout and Abandon don’t belong in Throwdown. People vote Shutout WAY too often though which kills my drive to play it. Haven, Dispatch, Simplex, and Adrift CTF are my favorites in that playlist.
My personal hope is that Shutout of both gametypes and Abandon Slayer get canned and replaced with Monolith slayer, monolith extraction, and Skyline Flag.

Haha yea, h4 is so much more fun than h3, just look at all the people who are clearly loving the product!!

Same but I want a playlist were everybody is -Yoinking!- equal. The orginal settings of team throwdown had me hopeful but then there spin was put on it. Call me what you will but I think everybody should spawn the same and have to work from there.

Pretty much change weapon drops to match competitive, and yes classic is pretty much competitive. And if Throwback is suppose to be competitive well it’s really not it plays just like everything else with it’s own limitations
Well if Team Throwdown is taken off, back to Halo 3 I go. It’s literally the ONLY thing keeping me playing Halo 4.
Everyone is concerned about the Deluxe settings? When is it ever picked anyway? Not much that I’ve seen, definitely not enough to complain about.
My only nitpick is how often KOTH Lockout gets picked. KOTH is fine, but damn another map please.
Most people won’t play it because of no radar, and people don’t realize that you might not have a radar, but neither does the enemy, and it is tremendously helpful NOT having a radar. The opponent doesn’t know where you are and you can move freely.
That being said, if they were to just add a radar to the playlist for a real classic feel, then it would probably have a better population. Or not considering how many idiots love their infinity slayer.
I play throwdown, but what I really want is classic social slayer.
Also, what is the point of a competative playlist without ranks?
