Team Throwdown is Team Quitdown

Quitting. Quitting at the vote scree. Quitting after going down only a few kills. Quitting because they aren’t doing well. Who knows why they are quitting. But, quitting. Quitting everywhere. Nearly every game. I don’t like playing with half a team. Don’t like playing against half a team. But that’s what it’s about - lots and lots of quitting.
If you’re a quitter, just please stop. You can learn something from every match, if even if you get manhandled.

quits

Welcome to the glory days of the core Halo Experience. Quitters everywhere. Just get some friends together and party up. Not only will you have better communication and teamwork but you wont have quitters which means youll win more often.

and thats why it should have JIP until they get the ranking system going. Cause until you know the matches are even, people are expecting to quit.

I killed a booster who had a 6.72 K/D at the start of a Dominion game yesterday. He quit right after I killed him because he just couldn’t bear the thought of his precious K/D decreasing. People quit for stupid reasons. I have learned that from many past Halo experiences.

I don’t have friends that play Halo and I can only play from about 10 central time until midnight - is there a place to find people that can play on a regular basis during those times, like a board or something?

I have to agree… I’m left alone almost every second game  I like the playlist but everyone quits out like crazy.

Rather not have JIP. This isn’t anything new. It’s how halo always was…

These are competitive settings

Try the Recruiting section.

We only had a couple people on the other team quit in a couple different games last night. Try playing with a party. It works much better.

There are some forums dedicated to that. There are some here and on Bungie.net.

That’s what happens when you market towards a specific audience that is used to being able to quit without repercussions.

Marketing to the COD fanbase, who are accustomed to being able to quit, leaves Halo in a phase on constant quitting. I rarely had rampant quitters in Reach and Halo 3, but there are quitters in every other game of Halo 4. This is due to the idea that “Someone will take my place through Join in Progress, so it’s fine.”

But take out JiP, and you have quitters. Plain and simple.

343 should disallow quitting once the player is in the match for this playlist.

“facepalm”

gears of war 2 tried that; it didn’t work. all people did to quit was dashboard, double tap the disc drive, sign out and sign back in.

Then they’ll just dashboard or sign out of Xbox Live.

Yep, Team Throwdown is just all around terrible. Basically take away all the steps forward the game made for the series and shoehorn some settings where they don’t belong or work so it plays like someone’s -Yoink- custom game. JIP sucks until you don’t have it and realize it was there to solve a problem. Custom loadouts and instant respawn are for “casuals” until you play without them and it’s slow and boring.

I hope the playlist fails big time so they can add something that’s actually well thought out and fun to play.

I played a few team throwdown games the other day and in every single one the majority of either my team or the opposing team quit. Took me back to the good old days of Halo 2, when people would quit the second their team was down. Literally. People would quit if their team didn’t get the first kill.

I find it to be the exact opposite of that. In my opinion it’s everything Halo 4 should have been from the start. It’s fast and fun. I don’t see how it’s “slow”.

I wonder is it all the new kids who are quitting because they can’t handle using simple BRs instead of…
infinite sprint + super fast reload + stickies + camo + boltshot?

Or is it because they can’t handle having to actually fight for control of the power weapons?
