Team Throwdown is FANTASTIC

Absolutely fantastic. The teammates I pair up with are still nerd-rageable, but that’s made up with by the BR starts. There’s DMR’s placed around the map so if you get killed by one it was equal opportunity to get one, thus less frustrating.

Ordinance only drops Hardlight shield, Thruster pack, and Hologram, which is great. It really has a competitive feel, and although I went up with a guy who got thruster pack I never felt at a disadvantage like going up with a guy who has a SAW.

This is how Halo 4 should have started IMO, I hope you’re satisfied, I’ll be in this playlist exclusively from now on. Thank you!

What do you all think ?

Only got to play a couple of games so far but I like it. Halo 4 should have started with this. The population would be 4-5 times what it is now.

Two games in and the normal issues arise. Competition means quitters… quitters = unfair gameplay. Both games I have played thus far have not had a balanced 4 on 4 team set up, I don’t think JIP is enabled (an assumption only). But as for everything else I REALLY like the gameplay.

Only thing that phases me slightly is how low the population is.

I adore a more competitive, old school multiplayer but it’s played almost exclusively by the more try-hardy and YEAH GO TEAM people who sit at the top of longbow and camp there, rather than the in-betweeny people who are there to have a good time.

That’s not the fault of the playlist though. It’s great. Good job!

I only got to play one game before class this morning and it was awesome! Great job 343i

I agree. This playlist is absolutely great!

I’ve only played 4-5 games on it at the moment, but each game I played (despite the fact that I lost most of them cough teammates cough) were great.

Simplex CTF: Played very, very well. I’ve played it before, but that was in a competitive 4v4 team match and I hadn’t played enough to learn the movements.

I had a very good game (I think the only game I won) and everything felt very clean.

Shutout KoTH: … not a fan of this one. I love the map, and the new additions (Bottom elbow to S2 now works, S1 to S2 now works. Needler placed Green hall, shotgun taken off map) to it.

KOTH itself doesn’t play to well on this map. This may simply be due to the fact that I didn’t have a good team at all, but it didn’t feel good to play. I think oddball on here should replace it. Only problem is throwing the ball, meaning that it could make things very easy.

Dispatch Extaction: Also played very, very well. I (once again) had horrific teammates, and despite the fact that I went 44-11 I could not pull out the win (cough all teammates negative 3-13 cough) the game played well.

I did know the strategies for this map, and had no problems running objectives and powerweapons. It was quite balanced, and I didn’t feel like there were any OP sightlines on the map or for the gametype.

I think those are all I played, I’m not totally sure. I’d have to check and see.

Overall, the map choice is great, the gametypes are great and I have no problems with the playlist thus far.

Hands Down the best playlist in the game! Way to go 343!

The playlist is very good. The population will most likely stay the same, due to the amount of competitive players. It’s like the MLG playlist in previous Halos, and in Reach it averaged about 2 or 3 thousand, so we’ll most likely see the population stay the same. Which is a good thing

I love it but why the hell are they trying to force me to play shutout??? its almost ALWAYS the first two picks.

I had people quit in 100% of my games. Still, I had loads of fun. Surprisingly, the deluxe settings were avoided which I’m happy about, but they were still playable. I don’t know if they can do this now or after the TU, but I think that quitters should lose XP in any playlist without JIP. That way, people won’t abandon me just because the enemy team got 1 flag cap.

I just may have to jump on here. I’ve hearing very positive news about the playlist.

I’ll be playing this playlist for a long time. I just don’t like Slayer BRs on Haven, weapons everywhere. I find Needlers in corridors and on the ground. If that’s not bad, then you can just camp in the center of the map until a sniper rifle come around. That makes getting a multikill super easy.

as opppesd to getting a few assists and have a incineration cannon handed to you?

the sniper spawns at a set time from when someone grabs it. and it is your fault for not keeping track of it and when it spawns.

seem like a good playlist. will play more. only complaint is the radar. either make it show the enemy too or just shut it off. i played a couple games where my team did know that it only showed teammates.

I think if it had a Motion Tracker it would be perfect.

The gametype is designed to bring back the players that stopped or left Halo. We (as I did) stopped playing Halo because it was turned on.

Needs to stay ally only
