Yes, I am grateful for 343 implementing a competitive playlist. But it is not competitive, if I am not going against people my own level. I am playing against mostly randoms, the only difference is is the “MLG type setttings”.
WE NEED A 1-50 visible ranking system! That is what is going to make the big difference, not just adding more playlists.
You are playing people against your skill level, its called true skill its just hidden. And how is team throwback not competitive, the only random thing you can get is and armor ability which doesn’t change the game play hardly at all
yes it just seemed like a modified version of infinity slayer. Then we have the issue of different types of settings in the game like we did in reach which I hated it. If your going to change some important settings change it across the entire game.
>complains that we need the visible 1-50 so he can play with people matched with him by the system
>the system already does it like it does for every single non-EA game on the 360, he just cannot see it with his own eyes
I don’t see how that fixes your problem. Maybe you’re not on the same level you thought you were? I mean I’m no pro player but hey, everyone overestimates their abilities sometimes.
TrueSkill, look it up. You are already being matched in game based on TrueSkill. A visible 1-50 in game rank won’t change how Halo 4 currently or in the future matches you with or against enemies or team mates.
> I agree. A true skill type thing is needed to be implemented into the competitive playlist to make it fair.

Nobody thinks that. Or are you just upset because the game doesn’t automatically ban everyone except the top X% of players from joining Throwdown?

Why are you even trying to play a competitive playlist without an actual party or team? That’s not 343’s fault.

And then its my fault that no one try’s to communicate? then the same question applies to those who dont have an in-game mic which is the majority in this playlist.
plus…I have no friends… that play halo 4…
not to mention I much rather prefer this more classic playlist then Inf Slayer
just asking about the radar

Ummmm, no.
The competitive types wanted classic/old/outdated/stripped down, whatever you want to call it, Halo. Therefore, Team Throwdown, co-designed by Bravo (ex-MLG now 343i), as well as MLG players Walshy, StrongSide and one other, along with 343i staff, is now available and will be added to.
Team Throwdown has the competitive settings for the competitive community. The competitive wanted change albeit back-to-the past, and they have it.
But, change across the board will not happen and should not happen. Now the competitive have their thing, leave the rest of Halo 4 alone. It does not have to 100 per cent conform to the competitive seatings. If we “causals” accidentally venture into the competitive play lists we have to live with those settings. And,should for some very twisted and strange reason a competitive player ends up in the causal game types, he or she will have to live with those settings and just relax and have fun. Yes, competitive game play is fun too, I know but what separates the two and will continue to do so, are the settings.
Casual play lists will have ODs, AAs and all that exists now…no need for change…no need to take “our” fun away since you have your fun.
