We heard your feedback on our Team Sniper offerings loud and clear so we are here with an update. Team Snipers will now have ‘classic’ Team Snipers!
Featuring the S7 Sniper Rifle, no secondary, no grenades. No OS/Camo on maps, only equipment pickup – you can play this mode in the Team Snipers playlist starting today!
Shotty Snipes and Brute Snipes will remain in the playlist, though Team Snipers will now have the highest odds of showing up. The weighting of these modes after today’s update will be:
Team Snipers - 75%
Shotty Snipes - 20%
Brute Snipes - 5%
Get out there and stay eagle-eyed as you take aim at the opposition!
Why not just remove anything the community unanimously dislike being put into, put all of them into Action Sack, and have those rotate into a Featured playlist once every week or two weeks?
A list of stuff people generally hate being place into:
Any non BR SWAT
Any non standard Snipers (everything except Team Snipers and Shotty Snipers)
Any non standard Slayer modes (Fiesta, Attrition etc.)
This way you reduce the amount of Playlists clogging up the Play menu as well as give a chance for each mode to come out in rotation for the few people who wish to matchmake for them. In any case, non-popular modes are always accessible through custom games, so the main focus 343 should have right now is pushing Forge and CGB out the door in order for players to start pumping life-blood into the game.
This gives you more time to work on your seasonal narrative, especially after the horrible reception of Lone Wolves.
Im satisfied with these weightings. Shotty Snipes and Brute Snipes wont come up enough to be super annoying anymore. I might start playing the playlist now
The only logical explanation I can think of, is rhat they dont want to split up an already small playerbase.
Personally? I dont care. Just slap it in Action Sack. I swear this organization finds any way BUT the direct, most simple way to solve a problem that THEY created
Halo Infinite has a secondary sniper, the Shock Rifle. From what I can see, the community loves this weapon. Pair it with Shock Pistol, boom, Electric Snipers.
I agree with others here. Brute snipers should be in Action Sack, or removed altogether like what was done with Stalker Rifle starts. Just like Stalker Rifle starts, there’s absolutely no reason why skewer/mangler should be in a sniper playlist.
I hate this. So much. At least balance stuff out better, the way youve done thia means that i get plain snipers almost every single time, it gets boring and annoying real fast. Also why wont you bring back the stalker rifles?
Bring back the stalker rifles and make the weightings 40% team snipers, 40% shotty snipes, 10% each for brute snipes and stalkers. That way people who dont like brute snipes and stalkers dont have to deal with it too much but im not likely to get team snipers almost every single round and rarely anything else
