Thats right. As of November 26th (edit) REMOVED. Everywhere i have looked its saying the same thing. Please for the love of -Yoinking!- christ tell me this isnt true. If they take out another halo thing like this for no reason (remember the on my red x callout) then holy mutha of god.
It is apparently being replaced by this other very dissapointing playlist which im about to make another thread about.
i’ve never been a fan, but its been a staple since h2…and even in h4 i seem to recall it being one of the more played lists, unless my memory deceives me. and personally if i had to pick between swat and snipes, snipes gets my vote 100% of the time
However, I feel Team Snipers in Halo 4 could have been better. They should have added an Armor Ability, and maybe some power weapons through random ordnance drops (Beam Rifle with only 50% the charge, and the Binary Rifle with only 2 clips). 343 added all these new weapons and we barely see them, it makes me sad. Also, MONGOOSES?! Where are they??

Yes, break team snipes even more than already was with radar by adding armor abilities, that will definitely fix it!
Except armor abilities, sprint and bloom broke halo in the first place…
Team snipers should NEVER have power weapons.
In regards to the OP, I don’t care too much that team snipes was removed. Quite frankly, all the maps for it sucked anyway.

You may be suited to team assault rifles. Much easier.
Snipers is a rotational playlist, it’ll be back. SWAT is supposed to be rotational too, but it’s proved so popular it’s being kept in for another week.

Stop acting like you’re forced to play it. Just because I don’t like Flood doesn’t mean I’m going to rejoice if it get’s removed.

Lack of interest? even though it has more people playing it than like 90 percent of playlists atm, even though that and team doubles were the 2 main playlists people wanted to return (after swat release) Lack of interest my left -Yoinking!- -Yoink!-.
I agree that the maps 343 had for it sucked even imo ragnorak is a bad choice of a map Vortex being the worst map to play snipers on imo. To me though from reach to hear every noob seems to have become a pro with no-scoping with a sniper and to me it feels unstable when i use it yet when i use the Beam rifle i get my shots where i want them to be all the time. I guess 343 made the game too friendly for noobs that it threw off my gameplay with the sniper Rifle QQ as for the Gametype Sniper should never have a radar nor should they have a secondary weapon or the ability to pummel Hense the name Team SNIPERS not runn and pummel to death. bad enough they made swat a run around and melee gametype --. IMO it was a good idea to take out Team snipers for some tweaks and tune -ups but to replace it with a gametype that no one will play objective for if kinda dumb FFA Objective gametypes aren’t good for anything other than throwing nades at a hill or gang up on the oddball. Should at least replaced team snipers with Multi Team -- would have made it more suitable as a replacement instead of the bad Gametype currently out.

…Whatever… 343 failed to make it interesting. Yeah, maybe Armor abilities would ruin it. However power weapons is not a bad idea at all when they are slightly better than the power weapon that you spawn with, plus they only have half the ammo.
The point I was trying to make is that they could have spiced it up, and put more effort into it.
