Team Snipers, a breath of fresh air.

I love Team Snipers in Halo 4. No randomness. Just how Halo should be. The thing I like about it, is that it takes true skill. I mean, I lose a match in Snipers, I’m not mad, because I know that our team was simply not as good as the others. Not because they chose damage boost or an Incinerator Cannon from an Ordnance Drop which caused randomness. And when I win, I feel good, because me and my team tried our best, and not just by chance we won.

This is how Halo should be. It doesn’t feel out of date, like 343 might think. So if you took away things like Ordnance Drops, which might be the main factor of randomness in Halo 4, this game would feel really good! We need more playlists like Team Snipers!

I’ve never liked the sniper in past Halos, I’ve always been the sneaking around or vehicle loving kind of guy…but I ADORE Team Snipers on Halo 4, had so much fun playing it today I kept saying just one more! I didn’t rage when I died, because I would usually get Revenge. I’m on the winning team more often may contribute to this(I feel like i’m always on the losing team…), I really enjoy it. Its satisfying.

I know! For example, in Halo Reach, I would every now and then play Snipers and only play one game. But in Halo 4, it feels so good! It just feels right. I wished 343 made most of the game like this.

Eh, I personally disagree. I know Reach had some snapshotting and people doing bodyshot-melee combo…or spamming pistol depending on match type…but I don’t remember the vast majority of it being snapshot fights.

I also disagree with them including instant respawn, and kill-cams to a lesser extent. While the cams don’t bug me too much, the respawn does. I shouldn’t assassinate someone because he didn’t pay attention, and then come under fire two seconds later because there was no respawn timer. And this was on Exile, a map with a surfeit of cover available. He didn’t get me, but it certainly wasn’t the steady, cat and mouse style play I remember from Reach, and probably from Halo 3.

If they cut out the instant respawn, I think things would settle down a lot better. No more mad lemming rushes, a bit more patience and a bit more actual sniping.
I don’t remember if radar was in Reach and H3 or not, but if that went then people would certainly have to be a bit more cautious.

A playlist in which the objective is to crouch camp and head glitch does not dictate true skill.

Being able to take out a player with damage boost or an incineration cannon with only your primary rifle, that shows true skill.
