I have seen enough evidence suggesting CSR exploits for the Top 200 that I think it’s worth highlighting with the goal of having a future 343 update fix the situation. I cannot see Truskill behind the scenes, so yes, there is a degree of speculation; this is all based on game histories. If any assumptions I make are false, I sincerely apologize in advance.
That said, the exploits seem wide-spread enough that they must be addressed- especially for the poor saps trying to legitly grind this out.
A player on the leaderboard posted on another forum regarding the top 200 CSR “It’s win/loss but it’s revolves around who is on your team and who is on the other team when the game ends.” This, coupled with the observation that I have not seen a single person DNF and go down in CSR lead to problems…
Based on this, I have seen two exploits/cheats:
A: Losing team DNF’s. The quitters seem to be protected (H4 does not recognize the game for those players?); minimal gain from winning team, likely because the game sees them as having a significant Truskill edge at the game’s end.
B: Part of winning team DNF’s. The game seems to think that winning team is at big disadvantage since it doesn’t see the DNF’ers, giving remaining player(s) a big CSR boost. Essentially, it is like having a fresh deranker account for every game.
Feel free to reply with any other obvious exploits to add to the list. Please refrain from calling out or shaming people using the exploits (but seriously, shame on you).
