This is a statement to the 343 people if they are listening.
Please stop putting so many DMR, Pro, and Elite Slayer games types within the Team Slayer multiplayer game type options. It is called “Team Slayer” for a reason.
Also, the new maps you added to Team Slayer are typically available only with the afformentioned game types. This is annoying and ruining my gaming experience. Please STOP NOW!
I would like to see two Slayer game types per voting round with one of those being one of these new maps since it is after all “Team Slayer” not “Team Slayer Pro” or “Team Slayer Elite” or “Team Slayer DMR”.
If you keep jacking up the Reach multiplayer the way you are 343 I doubt I will by another Halo title and I have been a fan of the Halo since it was first released.

Thanks for your replies but I said nothing about making it ONLY Slayer as the game type and it was addressed to the 343 folks since I was unable to find any means of contacting them directly.

The problem is with the voting order: All that variety only occurs on the Community maps, because they show up in the third slot (only), which is also where Slayer Pro and Elite Slayer appear. So you never get these game types on the built-in maps, and conversely, it’s hard to get a straight Slayer game on the Community maps.

They said Slot 1 only but they messed up and did two slots. I really don’t like it because all of the base maps aside from Powerhouse, Countdown (Aside from the Sword and Shotgun) and Zealot promote boring and slow gameplay. Community maps play much better.

Team Slayer is a place where people can go and enjoy all types of (non-Title Updated) Slayer games on all maps. This includes DMRs, Pro, and Elite Slayer, as well as any of the new community maps. If it’s ruining your experience, either play something else or learn to deal with it.
Yes, DMR starts are bad for the sandbox. Theyre ok now and again but not all the time.

Did you guys not understand what I posted? YOU CAN’T PLAY EVERY GAME TYPE ON THE PLAYLIST EXCEPT ON COMMUNITY MAPS. There may be rare exceptions to this, but I haven’t seen any that I can recall. Conversely, it is hard to get Slayer (or even Slayer DMRs) on a Community map because these game types rotate with Slayer Pro and Elite Slayer in the slot allocated for Community maps (the third voting slot). So if you want to play on a Community map, roughly 50% of the time you will have to vote for a Slayer Pro or Elite Slayer game. But even when you get a chance to vote for a Slayer or Slayer DMRs game on a Community map, it has a rough time getting selected because it’s in the third slot. So overall, because of this double whammy, Slayer and Slayer DMRs games on Community maps are not common enough.
And if you want to play Elite Slayer or Slayer Pro on the built-in maps (e.g., Countdown, Sword Base, Reflection, etc.), it is apparently not posssible to do so anymore in Team Slayer.

both of those playlist have more than one gametype variant. But that only proves your point, even two variants is pretty meager. The reason why Team Slayer has such a nice Population is because it has those main four variants: AR, DMR, Elite, and pro.

I don’t think that’s the reason. It didn’t help Super Slayer’s population when it had all four of those game types. And now that it has ZB Slayer (or whatever it’s called) instead of Elite Slayer, having a different set of four different game types still hasn’t produced results by itself.

what kills super slayer is its name. Should have stuck with Update Slayer or somthing more obvious. Super Slayer sounds like it belongs in Action Sack. I still run into kids that are all, “whats TU.”
I like the playlist getting mixed up. It would absolutely suck to just play regular Slayer every single match. But I’ve played thousands and thousands of matches.

The problem with Elite Slayer was that the player had a low-bloom NR as soon as they spawned, and 2 plasma grenades as well. Basically every game would devolve into plasma hell. So I guess you could say it was TOO “super” for Super Slayer.

I could have swore I played Elite Slayer on Sword Base. But I could be mistaken. And I rather liked Pro in countdown but I can’t recall how long ago I saw it it MM.
