I seem to remember someone asking about the scoring system in Halo 4 in one of the bulletins and bs angel said that team slayer scoring will no longer be done the traditional 1 kill 1 point way. Am I correct in remembering this? If so, how do you think the scoring system will work?
based on points/medals
from the making of video you can see at one point a player kills a blue spartan. He receives 2 medals, each with a 5 under it. At that moment his team score jumps up by 10 points.
Oh. So they’re just shamelessly going full on Call of Duty in every small way they can think of?
> Oh. So they’re just shamelessly going full on Call of Duty in every small way they can think of?
yup, pretty much
Ugh, well thanks for answering my question.
I dislike this as its only done this way do make people feel like they did better in the match then they really did
IE:
I get 3 kills and 10 deaths in a classic halo style slayer game im - 7 with a only 2/3 medals
How ever in Halo 4 style you get 3 kills and 10 deaths and 15 medals
So you feel better for doing bad …
Maybe thats just what I’m thinking and its not true at all…
I’m really trying to be optimistic but it’s really starting to seem like they just sat down for a meeting and said okay guys, more like call of duty in any way. Even pointless small stuff they’re changing to me more “modern”. Since modern warfare became the “popular shooter” I’ve always defended halo as being better because everyone starts on equal footing. All the little things that make halo halo are why I play it and don’t care for call of duty. They’ve pretty much “addressed” every one of those little things so far.
