Team Slayer Pro the only mode worth playing?

I haven’t bought the game yet because I’m boycotting this customizable class/perks crap (longtime Halo fan), but I have played the game with my friend who owns it, and I gotta say that it really seems like Team Slayer Pro is the only gametype worth playing, which is definitely a no-buy for me, as only about 1000 people are playing that gametype at any given time. So far nearly everyone that I have encountered on Infinity Slayer/Big Team/Dominion has been really bad at the game… I mean REALLY bad (with some minor exceptions of course), but everyone, and I mean E-VER-Y-ONE I’ve played on Team Slayer Pro has been pretty damn good, most of the time kicking my -Yoink- (teamwork mainly). Thoughts from people who have played the game more than me? I also like Team Slayer Pro because there are no perks etc.

Would possibly buy the game if a 50 level system and an MLG gametype (if they can figure out this crappy custom gametype system) were introduced, because MLG knows what it’s doing.

then don’t buy it.

Slayer Pro and SWAT are the only gametypes I’m truly loving so far.I still play other gametypes but that’s only because my friends can’t stand competitive play.Sad, really…

A ranked system has been confirmed for sometime in the future. I know nothing more than that.

Also MLG is working on their playlists and last I heard, was hoping to have them completed and submitted to 343i sometime in January.

If you’re only interested in those few aspects, I’d wait a couple months before the features are properly added.

By competitive you must mean really boring game types.

Basically I’ve heard team slayer pro is the only gametype NOT worth playing…

This is what I’ve heard as well.

Your simply a fool I’ve been playing since the combat evolved days and this game is halo 1 and 2 combined gameplay wise with a hint of halo reach . Don’t bash this godsend of a game. Halo 4 is what halo 3 and reach should have been . And like others have said on here there coming out with another ranking system. You prolly did not know but halo 4 was to large of a game to fit on one disk and they just made it fit on two disk and said they didn’t fit all they wanted to fit in the game at launch but they said they will release it all in the future so playing the game as it is just think of what there going to add to this game in all honesty .

Is this you guys saying “haha MLG/old Halo sucks” or are you on my side and giving constructive criticism?

I’ve heard it’s a shell of the old halos, it’s rather boring, especially compared to the other playlists. Having random ordinance drops instead of weapon spawns as well, it just doesn’t really work.

Um, okay. I definitely did know that Halo 4 came on 2 disks, but seeing as Halo Reach came on one disc and seemed to have a lot more customization/content I really can’t attribute this lack of space to the developers adding more content, but rather the new engine simply taking up more space. Halo 4 is crap, and I could immediately tell that from the moment I started up my first game. Perks ruin the game, as does the customization because the Lightrifle/Plasma Grenade is so obviously the best combo it’s sad.

I like slayer pro. I dont play it all that much, but it’s certainly fun when I do. I have no complaints about slayer pro.

“Regicide” is easily the worst playest in halo 4. I dont mind the objectives. A btb objective with no personal Ordnance would be fun

People who don’t like Slayer Pro are more than likely bad at the game…Slayer Pro is great. It’s the closest to a competitive playlist and MLG we have at the moment.

Still waiting on MLG and Team Doubles though.

A shell of the old Halos is much better than a single drop of the new. I don’t see how you can deny that Team Slayer Pro is the best gametype when everyone in the other gametypes really, really sucks. I went 26 and 1, and thats normal (the 1 I was killed while trying to change my controls from Boxer to Default). Are you saying that Team Slayer Pro is “boring” or that it isn’t the most balanced, fair, and strategically interesting?

P.S. how the hell do I quote on this forum?

I couldn’t disagree more. I love regicide. I already have many fond memories killing my friends in it. Team regicide is also amazing.

It’s still a public game. Strategy isn’t really that strong in pubs.

Team Slayer Pro is definitely more balanced than Infinity Slayer, but it lacks so much depth because it’s been so stripped. It’s basically pick a DMR then fight over the two needlers/scattershots on the map (Needler only scores you like 2 kills anyway due to the ammo consumption/limit).

At least in halo 3 there was a wide variety of weapons on the map.

Sure, although I personally like the BR. But that’s kinda the desperate situation Halo’s in nowadays. Team Slayer Pro, a gametype where all you do is “pick a DMR then fight over the two needlers/scattershots on the map” is the best it’s got to offer. Imagine if they put that quote on the front of the box.
