The title says it all really. I, along with many other competitive players, are looking for some sort of playlist that relies on team work and a little less on the rambo style Infinity Slayer promotes. The Armor Abilities and the Ordinances are cool and all when you are in the mood to mess around but I can’t play it seriously. I am not asking for a ranked style playlist I just want Team Slayer Pro back. I understand the community that played it was fairly small but that’s because only a small % of any game community plays it competitively. Sure there may have been some problems with Team Slayer Pro that turned people away from the playlist but doing away with it entirely (even if temporary) can’t possibly be the right answer.
I would enjoy Halo 4 so much more if that playlist was back. I play Halo for the raw basics it was built off of. Map Control, Team work, communication, and individual skill. Infinity Slayer takes all of that and throws it out the window. It’s not that I’m bashing the playlist it just isn’t what competitive players want to play.
Please please please put Team Slayer Pro back up. Even in it’s fairly broken state it is 100x better than not having it up there at all.
343 really doesn’t care. They just look at the number of players per gametypes in the playlist and remove the less popular. They don’t understand why Slayer Pro is a must for competitive players, it’s beyond them.
And they are expecting that we’ll be satisfied with the MLG playlist that will soon be available (BR+Light Rifle start).
I think 343 has to remember what made Halo so successful. It WAS a game that required teamwork and was different than the reaction shooters like Call of Duty. I just hope they don’t forget about the competitive community that made Halo what it is today.
I know they are bringing it back I just don’t see why they got rid of it entirely. I understand it needs fixing but it was still much more enjoyable for me than having to play Infinity Slayer just to be able to play Halo.
