From what i’ve seen, there are too many parties of 4 who are all onyx players just pubstomping on all of the random gold/platinum players just to pad their stats. So I’m suggesting 343 cap the party size to 1 or 2 to avoid these blowout matches because there is nothing about social about losing 50 - 8.
There are two ways they can fix this
- 2 is the max party size for social
Or…
- They make it so teams of 3 or more only get matched against other teams of 3 or more
Option 1 doesn’t seem like a good route because then it limits the ability for someone to play with a group of their friends, and Option number 2 can mean that a group of friends who are casual players are matched against a team of Onyx players
I don’t know the best way to go about making it a more fun experience for lesser skilled players, but what I do know is that the social experience that Halo players like myself and others enjoyed in pas Halo titles died years ago
Social playlists have always been a mixed bag. Most of the time, especially back when there were guests, you ran into mediocre players that you could smash. Every once in awhile though, you ran into a team of some seriously nasty folks.
And that’s ok. Social is the place where you can go play anyone. That’s the entire point.
You really want an unranked playlist that matches you with closely other similarly ranked players so you don’t get smashed?
Then go play ranked, where if you suck you’ll be matched with other players that suck.
Most players I know used social playlists as a warm up before heading into ranked games.
