Team Skirmish is a testing ground for Arena?

I’ve heard a few rumors but I’m not too sure what to believe, is team skirmish a testing ground for arena?
it would make sense if it was but do 343i really think flag on Tyrant will make it to HCS?

I doubt Team Skirmish is a testing ground for Arena. They already tweak the ranked playlists fairly regularly. As for flag on Tyrant I pray to god its not coming to HCS.

The Team Arena playlist gets previews for what may or may not be used in HCS on its own. Team Skirmish is just the Social playlist equivalent of Team Arena. Nothing more, nothing less.

i thought that they might test new gametypes in team skirmish rather than messing up arena

i agree with afro. team skirmish is a social playlist and nothing more. i wouldn’t step there for arena warm up since its not ranked and you might faced experienced players just like you do on warzone. team skirmish also has some really weird matches, the other day i was playing capture the flag on regret in which its extremely unbalanced in my opinion. they mix objectives on maps that are not designed for. but thats just my opinion.
