First and foremost, if you are the king, don’t sprint at the enemy as quick as you can. Give your team time, a chance to help protect you. Even assists help you keep the king title, don’t try to beat your teamates to kills. It doesn’t make you look better than other players, it makes you play worse and hurts your team, too. Don’t be in too much of a hurry even if you arent the king. Regicide is a strategy based gametype. So use strategy, or you will lose. A lot. If how you’re playing isn’t working, try something else. Don’t just keep doing the same thing. And if in doubt, just stay close to teamates so you have some help. Do more than jumping up and down and zipping around side to side and around in circles. Use cover. Don’t hide behind cover and cower everytime your shield goes down. Use cover during a fight to prevent losing your shield, don’t wait till its down to use cover. Don’t hide and camp for extended periods of time, it gives the other team too much time to get points off your teamates while you fail to help your team. If your shield is getting low, and you are near a teamate, fall back and stand behind your teamate and let him/her become the main target, and keep fighting, don’t leave and let your teammate to die in your place.

Another tip: the longer you are alive, you will gain buffs when you are the king. 30 seconds gives you an overshield. 60 seconds give you a damage boost. Coordinate with the timer and you can easily wipe out players quickly.
Yeah, he’s right. You have a target over your head already, so you don’t HAVE to find targets, they’re already looking for you.
One thing you can do is make them come to you. Don’t just run around trying to run away from enemies, or just hide. Find a spot with good cover, and look for targets.
When you get a power up is a good time to start moving around the map hunting down targets, just remember to still play smart. You aren’t invincible, just more powerful.
If things are going badly for the king, stay near him and protect him. Don’t let the other team keep farming kills off him.
If the enemy king is hard to kill, you can still gain a lot of points by avoiding him and mowing down his teammates.
