team killing

I’m sure someone if not many have posted about this before but its a subject that really needs to be addressed. There is a system in place already that gives you a choice to boot your team mate for betraying you in most of the playlists but its flawed. Many times in the various different game types I end up getting betrayed if I happened to pick up a power weapon the person wanted or stole a kill from them. Just about everyone knows that they can get away with betraying a person once per game, meaning they get what they wanted, I get a death on my record and they suffer no negative effects. Sometimes after having been betrayed for whatever reason, instead of doing it again and giving me the option to boot them they will simple have their friend do it giving me yet another unneeded death. Although those don’t seem to bad they are the best case scenarios, if you happen to play LivingDead or GriffBall you could end up getting betrayed a dozen times if the person is persistent. I do understand why there is no betrayal booting in living dead and griff ball since accidental betrayals are bound to happen, it can’t be avoided sometimes but there needs to be some kind of betrayal prevention system in place.I think if betrayal booting was turned back on but set to a higher number then the other game types would easily solve the problem. Make it so if they get four or five betrayals they can get booted. It would give people the incentive to stop doing it as well make better for the players who are trying to enjoy themselves and have fun. If its to much trouble to turn betrayal booting back on then another option would be to make betrayal deaths not count against your service record, or make it so it counts as a death or takes away a kill for the betrayer instead of just losing a point. I also want to say that if you plan on just complaining or trash talking saying not to play LivingDead or GriffBall, or insulting me saying their joke playlist meant for betraying I want to point out that they are playlists made for fun. Everyone is aware that they are for amusement, they are good gametypes to just relax and take it easy when you are in the mode for a more competitive playlist.

2 things
1: Team mates should only be able to deal out half 75% the norm damage to team mates (enough that a careless rocket is still not good to use by team mates)
2: Betrayals don’t count as a death. That way if your going for a perfection, a team mate can’t ruin it.

Or, turn friendly fire off entirely! That way, idiots get to spend their time wasting ammo - and I don’t have to worry about some moron putting a clip into my head because I got to the power weapon first!

Well for one please refrain from threats, second I think it would be bad to turn friendly fire off in any of the playlists other then LivingDead and GriffBall. If there was no friendly fire what is preventing me from attaching a sticky to my team mates head then send him running towards a group of enemies. As for the option of lowering the damage ratio for between you and your team mates it still comes down to the same problem. I think the bulk of the playlists are fine, the main ones that need to be addressed are LivingDead and GriffBall or make a betrayal take away a kill for the one betraying or make the death not count for the one getting betrayed.

Friendly fire absolutely CANNOT be turned off in Grfiball, too many problems with it. Like launching the ball carrier.

Or how about when you get the one guy on your team that just wants to hold the ball and not score?

Personally thats one of the main things that bugs me in GriffBall. You always get those team mates trying to betray you for the bomb amusing they can do better then you and then more then half of the time they run straight for the enemy plate and get killed. Its rather pathetic to betray because you want and believe you can do better with the bomb, its just as pathetic as betraying for a power weapon.

Friendly fire is necessary so that you don’t be careless. If your teammate is fighting someone in a 1v1 situation, don’t throw a grenade at them. It really isn’t that hard, yet I have so many people do that to me.

I do feel that being betrayed should not count as a real death. Instead, they should track that (as well as your own betrayals) in the service record.

As for why it’s in Infection, I have no idea. They turned off the betrayal booting to stop that one problem, but then they kept friendly fire on so now lolInfection is filled with people that do nothing but teamkill.
