Team killing with the splinter grenade

So I recently played some arena and my team was throwing splinter grenades at me and it killed me. Is there anyway to stop this from happening? I would like to not rage quit over stupid things like that.

Most (if not all) matchmaking playlists automatically detect betrayals and boot players who betray too many times. I think 3 betrayals results in a boot (in Grifball the game prompts the betrayed to boot the betrayer if they want). Of course, this means a single player must get 3 betrayals. If your entire team were all griefing you, then it could have been that no one of them ever got to 3 betrayals. There will always be such players who try to skirt around the banhammer like that, not much that can be done. Griefing has been around since the inception of online gaming, and the ability to combat it, despite having gotten better over the years, is still limited.

You have a few options when you’re in scenarios like that. You can quit, but run the risk of losing rank and getting banned for quitting. You can stay in the game, but it will be annoying (this is probably the option that has the least negative effects on you, if you have the patience to endure until the game ends or they get booted). You can betray them back, but again, you could get banned (I don’t recommend this). No matter what you do in the moment of the game, afterwards you should most definitely report such players on Xbox Live for Unsporting Behavior.
