I’m quite sure I’m not the only one when I say I’m sick of teammates who just start throwing grenades and shooting at you just because you got in the Mantis first. What are those people thinking? I wouldn’t pay great attention to the issue but it just keeps happening, to me and to my other teammates. Can’t we get some kind of solution to this? Like the option to kick someone from the game if he destroys your vehicle? This is out of control.
Alot of us feel your pain bud. There is a big problem but as for right now theres nothing that can fix it.
Yeah seriously! i get emp blasted then they destroy me. im just working toward that achievement.
It is has been like that since Halo 2 honestly, the only thing that could be done, would be to nullify friendly damage to vehicles as well if thats possible and its highly unlikely.
I just respawn, go play the rest of the match, when its over, I’ll submit player reviews and send them a simple message like:
“Don’t betray for the mantis. It’s just a vehicle. And I was going for an achievement. Player review = avoid.”
Sometimes I’ll send the message, sometimes I won’t. Depends on the situation and mood.
I saw the Mantis first >.> It’s my right to EMP it as much as please until you get out of it. I am better at driving anyways and give me that Sniper. It’s mine and i am so MLG with it.

> It is has been like that since Halo 2 honestly
True story. Teammates have always killed for vehicles, weapons and objective objects. Sometimes i believe forget the meaning of the word “team”
Little punks also do it if you get a power weapon before them.
> “Don’t betray for the mantis. It’s just a vehicle. And I was going for an achievement. Player review = avoid.”
Lol if I got that message I’d reply
“I didn’t betray for the mantis, I betrayed for the lulz. You can tell that I didn’t betray FOR the mantis, because at the end of the betrayal I didn’t have the mantis. I did however laugh out loud. Also thanks for letting me know that the Mantis was a vehicle, otherwise I would’ve gotten confused and thought you were talking about the insect Mantis. I was going for an achievement too. You stopped me from going for the achievement first, so in response I stopped you from going for it.”
Honestly, what were 343 thinking with that achievement? It should have been get ONE stomp with the mantis. Player gets it, and moves the hell on. Even if I played with my clan and they let me go for Mantis exclusively, it would take longer than the Legendary Solo to pull off. It is no wonder people are raging over the Mantis.
You need the luck to be the first one to the Mantis in the first place, and then you need luck where you can actually stomp an enemy, when anybody with any amount of common sense will stay well out of the mantis melee range.
Luck based achievements = Community Rage
I straight up quit that match when and if that happens. I’m obviously not going to enjoy playing with those people, so I just don’t stay.

when im in a good mood i head up to ennemy’s mantis, shoot 2-3 AR bullets, “t-bag” next to them to let them stomp me, but it have never happen yet … they are just shooting at me…
To be honest, I’d love to see a “Kick Player” when they destroy your vehicle. People don’t just go banging at your ride for no reason and if it happens by accident I’m sure the driver would acknowledge that and forgive the player. I think I was betrayed twice in the same game and the kick player option didn’t even appear. Come ooon guys…
This has happened to me occasionally too, though it was much more prominent in Reach, I think. Then again, I did play Invasion a lot so maybe it’s just me
