Warzone - BTB - Grifball - Infection - Super Fiesta - Action Sack - Swat - Breakout - Slayer - And the random Triple team/Covenant Slayer playlists.
However, for us Competitive Try-hards in Halo 5 there is:
Team Arena (with terrible settings)
FFA (with terrible settings, recently improved)
Doubles (with terrible settings)
Is it that hard to have ONE playlist that brings back the feel of the old H2-H3 MLG days? The reason Halo became HALO.
It’s is very simple. Give us a playlist with:
HCS maps only
Magnum or BR Starts
No Radar - or at least the new Proving Grounds Radar.
No Spartan Charge
No Splinter Nades
No Automatic Weapons
I know I’m not the only one asking for this:
Tom Taylor "T2"
“…My dream playlist would be whatever the EXACT current HCS gametypes with a veto system that allows 3 maps/gametype options for all 8 players to vote on. The gametype with the most amount of votes furthest to the left is the gametype played. Another great addition would be having the option that we had in past Halo games to see what color you are before the game starts. That helps you understand where you are going to spawn and gets you thinking about the game before it even starts. The option to see your ping or how much you are lagging would be be another feature I’d love to see return. An exact number would be ideal or the old school red/yellow/green bars would suffice.”
Richard Simms @TheSimms
“Nerf the AR in a small manner, remove splinters and nade hit markers completely and that’s a really really solid/fun set up.”
Justin Deese "iGotUrPistola"
“FFA has definitely been lackluster since Halo 2. I miss the core fundamentals of what made FFA competitive in the past.”
James Bradbrook "Jimbo"
“Since proving grounds is a testing playlist. Can we test no radar and no AR start?”
Vetoed
“8-man BR/pistol no power weapon is the best variant of FFA in H5, both from a competitor & viewer standpoint. No idea how it gets ignored”
"Being able to move at normal speed and not show up on radar is cool (on Proving Grounds). One step further from cheese strats like crouching
Next,(remove/Nerf) autos?
On top of that recent interactions on Twitter between ManyPlayers and 343 employees should reinforce the idea and make it pretty clear.
It’s 2017, don’t let another year go by and keep the game the same

Hopefully some day we’ll see a playlist whit real settings and whit a little fell of the classic halo
I never understood the hate against autos. I’ve killed people using them with precision weapons and I’ve been killed using them with precision weapons.

It’s not hate. Anyone should agree that they don’t belong in competitive Halo. Since H2 competitive settings relied on precision weapons 100%. Just like splinter nades or spartan charge, automatic weapons require less skill and don’t belong in a competitive environment.

I could see having less on the map. The are a lot of assault rifles and smgs all over but removing them completely I think is a bad idea. I mean I could say the same thing for any power weapon. But those are there to give an advantage to whichever team controls them

You are missing the point. This post is for a Team Hardcore playlist. So imagine H2-3 MLG settings on H5. That means no radar, no easy splinter nade kills, no crouching around corners with an smg. No AR starts. Just magnum.
343 made the AR the starting weapon for H5 to help casual players. It’s fine, but lets have a playlist for real competitve game play. All previous Halos the starting weapon was a precision weapon except H5.

sorry, but you can’t go and change the topic title, mislead someone and then try to win an argument. the orrigional topic was “FOR ALL THE COMPETITIVE TRY-HARDS <3” you’ve since changed it to reflect a seperate playlist you want added. next time try to more specificwhen making the post instead of changing it two days later.
anyways you’re missing the point, my question to you was why the hate for autos. they are far more balanced than they have been in he past. you never answered it and instead went on a tangent. the only thing i/ve managed to get out of you was theyre for casual balance in the game. but as i said the first time. i could say the same thing for EVERY POWER WEAPON in HCS. or is HCS not competitve anymore?

I get the whole idea, what the OP is trying to state is the previous h2 and or h3 competitive perspective compared to halo 5. i would actually agree on his point of view on the competitive side of it. for example, imagine a playlist with no motion tracker, no spartan abilities at all with br or magnum starts only with no power weapons or any other type of automatic weapon. for that is more skill rather than power weapon control or power ups if you get the idea. in my honest opinion that would be a real competitive scenario because every shot counts with precision weapons and it accurately measures your aiming skill performance. but moving on the halo 5, changing everything of its competitive core would not be okay for halo 5 at least for now. current state of competitive halo 5 its what made it unique as of today. some halo veterans are absolutely not okay with this and i completely understand. our current state now involves more objective, map/weapon control than actual skill.

I didn’t changed it because of this conversation. The new title just reflects the content better. You probably didn’t read the entire thing from the start. Like I said, if you enjoy autos, great, go play ANY playlist. If you enjoy original Halo competitive settings go play… oh wait, we don’t have a SINGLE playlist!
Just go take a look on Twitter. Every single Halo Pro player dislikes the settings. HCS ran a poll among pro players. Questions like remove radar/autos received more than 50% possitive votes. But they never changed anything.
The problem IS the balance. An automatic weapon shouldn’t kill as fast as a precision weapon. They did that to close the skill gap between noobs and veteran players. But sadly it kills the competitive scene.
^Halo Pro Player just last night. 343 is just being slow.
