I was playing with a couple of people the other day that had team emblems (shark, T-Rex, etc.) as their emblem. I am assuming they modded their accounts to get those emblems as they each had less than 10,000 kills and had Protector DRFT armor. However, I am assuming this means that those are, in fact, obtainable, in-game emblems.
Does anyone know how to unlock these emblems? Or is there a possibility that they will be Waypoint emblems in the future?
That is interesting, I think I would use the Cyan Tyrannosaur instead of my LASO emblem lol. I would like to know as well if they are real emblems or just faked by someone
I hope that 343 implement a clan system so everyone can custom their team emblem (Something like the profile emblem) But unique for each team, so only can be visible for the clan itself .

You didn’t read my post, did you? lol I said that I assumed they modded their accounts to get these emblems.
However, being able to mod these emblems suggest that there is a possibility that they are already in-game and, thus, unlock-able.
I agree that it’d be cool if they implemented a clan system and perhaps clan ranks. Then they could make those emblems unlock-able at certain clan ranks.
Maby they are emblems that’s locked away by 343 because they might have a competition where you can win the emblems like Bungie did with the Star in Halo Reach.
When they first started showing gameplay for Halo 4 multiplayer, I seriously thought they were going to introduce clans because of the team emblems. It would have been really cool and perhaps people would play more as a team.

Sorry if you misunderstand me, but yes I did indeed read your post. As I said, it’s done by modding. The reason you are able to do this is because of modifications being made to the game/profile. Since the icon (shark, dino… ect) are in the game (they exist but are not unlock-able) Modification of the game can force it and use it as an emblem, because it is indeed an emblem, but NOT one made for use other than as a team indicator while in game.
Example… with a profile mod you can remove all of the armor that your character is wearing. This is only done by modding, and it not unlock-able. Just because you can do it with a mod does not mean it is unlock-able. So, no you cannot have the emblems without tampering.

The clan system is emblems and service Tags. Use them to signify clans

Indeed, I did misunderstand you.
However, I would imagine changing size and overall color/orientation of such emblems and transferring it the actual emblem to be much harder than simply stripping a spartan of all armor as the base model, the armor-less spartan (head is made by the helmet which is armor; there is no model for heads underneath the helmet), if not down-right impossible. This, to me, points at the emblems being coded as emblems in-game. Having these as emblems already on-disk seems a lot more likely than someone modding such emblems into the game.
Of course, I am no modder, so I could be mistaken. I, over the years, have had friends that mod.
