I’ve just read the August Matchmaking Updates and in the Playlist Offerings it mentions
“In order to help make room for these two new additions, the Last Spartan Standing playlist will be rotating out of the lineup.”
Why are we having to lose out of playlists in order to make room for others? Especially Last Spartan Standing!
What’s your thoughts on this and I’d love to hear a response from 343i on the decision.
Not sure why it had to be LSS, since that is a unique and popular mode. Why not rotate out King of the Hill or Land Grab instead?
I’m not really a fan of Last Spartan Standing, but it is a little strange that they are removing it during a season centered around it.
They made it worse with the spawn changes but I’ll be sad to see it go.
I’ve no interest in doubles. They need to redesign their UI, it’s just ridiculous they have this list. Why on Earth did they limit themselves in so many ways?
Maybe they don’t want to divide the playerbase too much with too many modes, but then they should rotate on a more frequent basis so more chance of playing modes you enjoy.
What’s so bad about doubles?
It just doesn’t appeal to me.
I typically find it a pretty chill mode.
I’ll definitely give it a shot but I would love a Fiesta FFA!

Nothing makes me more mad than this. This game is BARREN of content. So now when I want to be hyped about FINALLY getting doubles, I’m mad because we have to lose something else for no good reason.

I don’t really care about LSS, it belongs in action sack anyway. But this rotating playlists business means we’re probably going to lose snipers/swat/doubles in the future at some point. Hell naw. Core playlists that we’ve had since H2 need to be permanent, and have ranked options on top of that.

LSS was crap.
If you lost, you HAD to sit around and spectate the match to receive any of your challenge rewards.
That and it was a free-for-all playlist in Halo that lasts WAY too long.
Take a look at the Gladiator or Ro-Sham-Bo playlists on how limited life matches SHOULD be.
I’m glad it’s gone. Hated it with a passion. Sucks for people that liked it, but I personally think Halo is better off without it

I honestly don’t know why we should be losing playlists to me that’s BS if anything we need to be gaining more. If i had to choose one to be replaced it should be land grab over LSS but that my opinion i feel that social and ranked playlist should be different tabs under them the different type of playlist for those categories. I really hope that 343i realizes that the players don’t want to be losing playlist/game modes but want and need more varieties added. However i am glad that we are getting ranked doubles we needed another ranked playlist that said I hope that 343i keeps adding to the rank playlist like ranked team slayer, ranked tactical slayer, ranked BTB, and ranked objectives etc. without replacing or removing the current playlist in this situation more is better and that’s what the people want
Very disappointed in this swap. LSS is one of my favorite game modes in years.
Thats gotta be an awkward feeling for 343 that their new mode they were so excited for lasted 3 months
They give the option to quit the game if you were eliminated and keep the progression you made toward your challenges just don’t show up right away until that match is over
And in 2022, this is hilarious.
