I’ve only played about 5 games now but I absolutely love it, all different variants too it’s just great IMO so far

Its only good if you have a friend. The randoms ruin it most of the time.

I’ve played with complete randoms. But my first 2 games I lost because they were JiP and the other team had a lead, but I played a simplex variant and that was awesome, solace has been edited too the bottom is blocked off and there are lifts to both perches. Haven is haven but refreshing for doubles(spawns are diff though) played 2 games of ctf on dispatch and they were both 5-0 victories. Only lost my first 2 out of about 7 or 8 now with complete randoms. It feels alot more competitive in my opinion, power weps and over shields/speed boost are also map pickups. I’m confident people will love this. No personal ordinance either.

As long as you vote for Pro settings you get nothing of that crap.
Allso CTF has custom loadouts but not any ordnance drop.
i was logging in to post if anyone has played this variant and what their thoughts are. I’m glad to see the first was postive. I’m at work right now but have plans to play this later.
I have yet to try it, but its obvious that infinity doubles wll be infested with people abusing jetpack, camo, provision, and down right obvious boltshot/dmr people who cant just play it more fairly and judt -blam- it up, not a fan of ctf doubles in general, but sounds better than infinity dubs, pro is the all end result of being competive, balance and not cheap in restoring to massive overuse of power weapons and their pocket -blam- and Dont Matter Rifle (i know its in pro, but w/e).
Verdict: glad its back, and hope it gets better over time…

I personally was never a fan of team doubles, from my experience playing it today, haven was voted in the 3 games i had because it was the first map in the selection and instantly got 2 votes.
Secondly, dmr’s range just ruined a game for myself and my team mate, since they had top mid with power weapons, we couldn’t push since we would be easily picked off, and they didnt want to push since they would be taken down.
The game was a stale mate, so we left since it was boring as hell.
Thirdly, even though its ‘pro’ the addition of team only radars would be extremely nice, since it shows team mates on radar, and helps provide instant notification whether to call a push, where they died or where they are when behind you etc…
On the more positive side, it is showing that 343i are taking this game in the right direction, on map weapon spawns and power ups on maps, good spawns on haven, as well as the colour coded streets !
All that they need now is to implement this into the other game types cough infinity slayer Cough and the game will start to look even better than i could have imagined.
I haven’t tried it yet but I will be soon.

It’s Halo 4. It’s always going to be random, casual bull -Yoink-.
Team Doubles PRO, they finally got something 90% right, congrats 343i, I’ll probably be playing nothing but that when I’m on
I like Doubles Pro, but there is one thing wrong with it. The DMR just dominates every other loadout from all ranges because of its high kill time, RRR, and magnetism. (besides LR-scoped, but it has much less red reticule range and magnetism)
They should replace it with an AR.
I have been playing team doubles all morning and I love everything about it. From the Slayer pro, to the map selection it has a great slow. Maps with wep respawns this is what I have been waiting for! We finally have a halo game.

Apparently we don’t have the right to complain on their forums which are suppose to be used for feedback.

Magnetism on all weapons is the same. Stop making this argument. The only difference is red reticle range. No, they shouldn’t replace it with an AR, they should just have a TU that makes the red reticle range on the DMR equivalent to that of the Light Rifle.
From the update and the bulletin, it looks pretty good, but I haven’t played it yet. I haven’t had a doubles partner since very early on in Reach though…

most likely won’t touch doubles ever then. I don’t like randoms as it it but having to carry one guy around each match does not sound fun at all. Brings back the annoyances I had in halo 3 doubles. Afk teammate, teammate who would betray you, dies on purpose feeding kill to enemy, blah blah blah. I said after I got my 50 in doubles H3 I’d stop playing in that playlist and most likely won’t touch it in H4 now.
