What do you guys think on how its going to be setup?
I figure 300 points with conversion would be 30 kills. Infinity? I rather have normal slayer for doubles. Power Weapons ammo limited like reach’s iteration.
and obvious nice small-medium maps.

well its been nerf to no end, so im not too worry if thats a person’s choice for their custom loadout. 3 seconds of use is better than 5-8 seconds of use while being superman with a rifle that reach had…
I just hope that they don’t include jetpack as an optional AA… I know it’s not the same jetpack but it totally killed any kind of fun in reach’s iteration of doubles for me…
That and when people sprint away from bad situations, I almost don’t know which bothered me worse. I’m just glad they fixed that… I hope

its because they were up to no good…

It’s not only that, if it allows you to take shortcuts it’s still going to bother me… tremendously. If there are any tactical jumps it also shoots that in the face as well.

I know, don’t get me wrong, Jetpack highly still bothers me in doubles and the scared cat sprint away, and i agree with you, but based on small gameplay, it seems like a guy just getting a grav. lift height jump and not much swerving or movement while flying.
Why 300 points? Why not 250?
i highly doubt team doubles is going to be in halo 4, at least not at the start because all of the maps won’t support it.

Doubles has always been in Halo from the start.

i’m aware of that but playing a 2v2 on the shiped maps is going to be incredibly slow and boring, the maps are too big to support doubles.

But these maps have sprint… so in tern making them smaller.
Besides H3 had maps like construct and epilogue and the pit that are meant for 4v4 gameplay… Not many maps are actually made with 2v2 in mind but they work.

sprint doesn’t make maps smaller, it doesn’t make them play is if they were smaller, sprint slows down the gameplay and makes them play as if there were bigger, this should explain why.
these maps are just to big, we’re going to being spending minutes finding people and chasing after people instead of actually fighting because of the size, sprint just makes this even worse making team doubles even less of an attraction and less likely.
doubles in halo 4 is going to need maps scaled for it in order for it to work, this is going to be heavily reliant on the forge commnity to happen.
Doubles is my favorite playlist.
I really hope there is at least a non-infinity version of doubles because infinity slayer looks stupid as -Yoink-.

I don’t know how many maps there will be on release, (assuming there’s 10) Haven and Adrift COULD work for doubles. Longbow, Exile and the BTB remake are a no, then there are 3 forge maps, they could have interations that are small. That leaves 2 maps left. With 3 BTB maps and 3 forge maps that could be any sort of size and the small-med of Haven and Adrift. I think the 2 last maps would be small or med, in the Haven/Adrift category.

I don’t see Adrift playing well simply because it is so sectioned off. Haven would work fine, though.

Why wouldn’t doubles be in Halo 4? It’s always been in Halo.

It’s one of my favourite playlists, I hope it’s in there.
Doubles will be in Halo 4. If for any reason it isn’t there is no reason for me to buy it. I have never picked up a call of duty game because they don’t have a doubles playlist.
