Team doubles has appeared in all of the halo online franchises and is personally my favorite. Team doubles can be especially fun when only one of your halo friends is online and you two want to spend some time together ;). It is my opinion that doubles would be a fairly popular playlist in Halo 4, as it had been in halo 3. Many of the maps are small enough to support team doubles playing as well
If you guys feel the same way I do then let 343 hear you!
I’m hoping for a Multi-team like playlist as well as a Team Doubles. We need a “relaxing” doubles playlist and more ways to see the other color teams (Team TRex ftw)
The main issue is map selection. At this point, the only maps I see suitable for Doubles are Abandon, Haven, and Adrift. Complex is too large.
This would be unacceptable for a playlist.
343i made every map in this game gigantic, whereas Bungie had reasonably-sized maps that could work for a variety of team sizes (think Blackout or The Pit - 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5).
We won’t see a Doubles playlist until some Forge maps have made it into the inboxes of 343i employees.
> They could use abandon, haven, solace, impact, and ravine. 5 small maps that would be perfect for doubles.
Forgot about Solace.
Regardless, that’s 4 maps that aren’t exactly suited for 2v2.
I have no idea what you’re talking about with Ravine and Impact. If you’re talking about the pre-made forge maps they shipped with the game, I haven’t played on them so I can’t comment.
As I said, Forge maps need to be implemented ASAP.
I can agree with this, we will need smaller maps that can give you the 2v2 feel. as of now haven is probably the only one maybe abandon or adrift that could support 2v2.
I’m confident the forgers are already making their maps.
If anybody finds any good forged maps for 2v2 feel free to post them!
Doubles was my most played playlist in both Reach and H3. perfecting strategy and communication with a doubles partner is one of my favorite parts about Halo, without all the clutter of 4v4. Just you and your buddy, duking it out against an enemy and his buddy.
