Team Doubles and such.

Alright,
I’m looking for answers regarding the seemingly hypothetical playlist that is Team Doubles. I understand that MLG might take some time, as it always has upon release of each halo game. What I do not understand is why with Halo 4 they have neglected to include one of the most heavily populated, fun, simple, and in some cases most enjoyable to play and watch. The playlist I am referring to is Team Doubles. I expect some people to think I am raging about the whole thing, which I’m not. I simply don’t understand why Doubles isn’t there when I put my disk in the tray, and still is not available playlist. Let me go into deeper depth about my confusion.
I may not be right or valid in some of these statements but bare with me.
One: Doubles was a starting playlist for Halo3 and Reach, all I know of Halo 2 is that it was there when I started.
Two: The TEAM playlists that are available for play right now are playlists that require you have 4-8 players for a full party. This is a problem for players if you and your friend search in a playlist and are teamed with people that just purchased the game or have no idea how to play it.
Three: I checked halo 3 about a day ago and the population for Team Doubles was roughly 5,000 if you round it up from 4,721 people. Halo 3 is a 5 year old game that has had doubles for the same amount of time, and the doubles playlist is still getting more players than Crimson DLC: 1504 Team Regicide: 3373 and Regicide: 4449, of course these numbers fluctuate up and down throughout the day but if doubles was introduced I’m almost positive that the population of these playlists would decline, or the overall population in the game would rise due to the fact that doubles was there.
Four:(this isn’t doubles related) I’m sure you have heard this over seven million times, snipers was taken out within about 2 weeks i’m not exactly sure, here is a brief thought about that. Overall I thought snipers was an extremely fun, and playable playlist, it attracted a lot of halo players as well as CoD players that were “competitive snipers/quickscopers”. In my small group of friends, all of them found snipers to be the most tolerable playlist of all the playlists out at that time. The whole meaning of this post was supposed to circulate around to a question as well as highlight my concerns about the gametype choices for matchmaking/war games. My question is, do any of you know if there will be a doubles playlist, and if so will it be for good? As well as, if snipers returns will it return for good? Thanks.

Reason for no Team Doubles: the maps are all too large for it. Wait for forge maps to be implemented into MM and then you MIGHT see doubles.

They’ll be featuring team snipers and team doubles in early 2013, it says on their Twitter.

Abandon, Adrift, Haven, Impact Relay, and Solace are definitely good maps and possible Ravine.
Haven couldn’t be that much bigger than guardian from halo 3 and definitely is not bigger than ‘Asylum’ (Sanctuary) from halo 2/ Reach. I have played Abandon in 1v1 and 2v2 GB along with Impact Relay, both proving to have good flow and Semi-constant pressure from both teams. Solace has a similar layout to Narrows which is a beloved halo 3 Doubles, Snipers, Slayer, OBJ, and MLG compatible map. Adrift is also the right size and has good dimensions. If you take into account that there is instant respawn coupled with the ability to sprint forever and see through walls, both of which can be done in the same loadout. The ability to sprint forever, see through walls, see where the person that killed you last is on the map, as well as the ability to stay scoped throughout the game despite being shot make a lot of the bigger maps, smaller when you take that into account. I don’t know if you are speaking out of opinion, or you have heard something out of 343 that I haven’t, but the argument that there are not enough size-compatible maps is one of the worst reasons I’ve heard yet.

Thank you for the clarification.
