Constantly being betrayed going after the same guy on the other team, as well as killing my own teammates and being kicked from the game, if you are going to do that at least give players the those REQ points they earned … team damage needs to be OFF for something like this. Its not like most people are trying to team kill on purpose.
Agreed. Either that or just get rid of the boot option.
They’ve learned to leave damage on to prevent map launching, but the boot option should be removed from grifball.
Betrayals are part of the hilarity of Grifball.
Remove the option to boot would be better.
Removing friendly fire breaks the gametype.
Betrayal booting needs to be removed but they already know this.
Team damage yes
Boots for betrayals no
I like team damage in griffball. A player has to be able to play offensively and defensively from both the enemy and teammates. Watch your map, pay attention to incoming enemies and teammates going in for the kill. If you don’t like being team killed don’t put yourself in the middle of a situation like that.
On the other hand don’t be a jerk and spawn kill you teammates either. All you do here is help the other team win while also making the game unfun for your teammates.
^^ easier said then done (don’t put yourself in that situation) so I should not defend? I like to stay near the spot they need to score to defend it,
Why cant it just be made so that if you hit someone on your team, absolutely nothing happens, and there is only damage to the opponent so therefore no map launching and no team killing (win/win) whether on purpose or accident. Just playing defense I got booted from 3 games, when I saw the option popup myself I did not give them the boot. I love this mode since its the only way I can get kills (I am god awful in MP altogether, lets just say when using guns I am usually getting killed 6 times per 1 kill so sorry in advance if I am on your team)
Leave the damage and betrayals as they are. It adds a level of competitiveness to keep track of your teammates on the motion tracker. Players should be aware of their teammates line of sights and respect their fields of engagement. If players cannot help but spam behind their teammates then yea, they should be booted for betrayals.
Ugh. Some guy team killed me 4 times I didnt boot him but I get him twice and I get the boot? not cool, the boot option needs to be removed unless someone kills you more then x amount of times… say 10 or 12… 3 is too low

To be fair it could have been accidental. Depending on your control scheme you can boot somebody before you see the screen. Betrayal booting shouldn’t be in grifball, but I’m going to assume 343 will fix this one sooner or later.
