I don’t know about you guys, but I really wish 343i would bring back the old red and blue colours that we saw in Halo 3 and even Reach (I didn’t like Reach but that’s beside the point.) The Red and Blue team colours in Halo 4 are almost a pastel-ish colour, which to me is a needless shift from the past games. I don’t know what everyone else thinks, but the new red/blue team colours are just a real turn off. It’s kind of a minor thing, but Halo has always had that cool “Red team vs Blue team” multiplayer and the old darker shades of blue and red were way more exciting to me.
What are your thoughts on this? I think that the boring pastel colours in Halo 4 take away from the multiplayer experience in a way.
Blood Red vs. Navy Blue is much better than Salmon Red vs. Smurf Blue.
That being said, I’m one of those people who wants Halo to be an ascetically darker game… Which is an unpopular idea on these forms from what I’ve seen.

I would not say that, I think people just want options. OT, I don’t mind the new colors BUT I want them to go back to H2 style and let custom secondary colors to show.
Didn’t BS angel mention in one Bulletin that the reason for the odd Red and Blue colors in Halo 4 was because some of the workers at 343I were colorblind?
(to a certain extent)
Ah, that explains it, sort of. I don’t mean to hate, but that’s a bit random, don’t you think? I appreciate accommodating your friends and coworkers, but it’s not like all deficiency of color recognition is the same. What works for them might not work for another color blind person.
It just seems like a bad decision considering the overall game. I haven’t heard one person defend Halo 4’s pastel, overly hot colors. That, and the blah armor are two big reason for the power ranger comparisons.
IMHO, Halo 5’s colors should be matte, not shiny, and preferably in line with any previous Halo’s color palette. I think Halo 2 and Reach did the best job of this.

I thought it was a good idea, yes not everyone has kind of color blindness, but it does help. Though I do prefer the darker colors so it would seem to make more sense if they added an option in the settings for color blind people. Though I do not know how difficult it would be.
I don’t really mind the new colors acutally. Never bothered me much, but as pointed out above - having an option for brighter color vs darker color would be nice.
I won’t gripe in the slightest come Halo 5 regardless of the colors, but my only wish Team-wise is that we can finally use those emblems on our Spartans. I want that T.rex and cougar dangit!

I second this statement and third the OP. Halo 4 was brighter than it needed to be.
