Team colors in infinite pvp

Just wanted to give some insight regarding pvp. My crew and I all have the same issue in multi-player. Distinguishing who is on what time is a pain, with every one having different skins. I picked a flag, and ran right by someone who was blue, which my team was blue, yet he was outlined in red. My mind didn’t register he wasn’t on my team. With the ability to customize colors, that’s awesome and all, but when match starts, change the teams to their respective colors. Pre match or end match animations are cool for the custom colors. But during actual game play, please make players their team color. The outline just isn’t cutting it. Thanks!

I didn’t experience this issue at all. The outlines are vibrant and stand out. Other topics pointed out that you can change the color outline to something more vibrant like lets say green for teammates and yellow for enemies. I mean, in battlefield or cod everyone’s dressed in rather standard military garb. I get your point though. I caught myself accidentally shooting at a teammate who popped up behind me which made for goods laughs in voice call. I hope we do get the option to turn on Red vs Blue in the final game, just so we can have the classic Halo feel back. I do secretly prefer everyone having their own style. “Damn Purple Chief took B again”!

Noticed this a lot, it got to the stage that every time I saw someone I just put shots in them (or around them…see aiming issues thread) until I worked out if they were on my team !
Honestly I could not give you one description of anyone…friend or foes armour which is why we have outlines, so people can buy armour and colour it…DONT BOTHER NO ONE IN THE HEAT OF BATTLE THINKS “Head shot, body shot…Ohhh nice armour and colours…head shot, body shot…respawn
No one cares 343

I had this issue nonstop. The outlines just do not pop the way team colors have in the past. For a game that’s supposed to be a war games sim is starting to feel like kids playing soliders around the neighborhood with the one weird kid who who wants to play it their way and ends up being a double agent.

I didn’t have any problem identifying friend from foe. I thought the outline system worked fairly well. I have other issues, like why do shields show where you are damaging an enemy if body and head shots do the same damage to shields.

Sounds to me like you may need to customize the outlines to be more explicit as JoeyXLR mentioned.

Maybe we shouldn’t have to tweak settings to be able to see enemies in muliplayer matches. Forgive my use of this cursed phrase but it should just work. Without the player needing to go into settings. And it kinda doesn’t, at least not for everybody.

I must be getting old, because I hated the change to the teams not being Blue or Red. It’s kinda hard after playing Halo for 20 years and have my brain programmed to see team colors. I really don’t think I will ever be able to adjust to this change.

The worst part about this change, it’s 100 percent for monetization on the Battle Pass/Cosmetics. It’s just sad to see how a major change to the visuals is occurring so they can cash in on people wasting money on cosmetics.

I tried all types of different outlines, just can’t get over the fact that my teammate is red and then so is another person on the other team.

I changed my teammates outline to ‘Sunshine’ and my enemies to ‘Cerise’. I have seen many pros choose this color combo too and it works really well. Your teammates should show tags above their heads while enemies do not. The Cerise color shows up well and the reticle is clear to see when you are on their hit box. I recommend considering these changes.

I will have to try that combination out. Yes, I’m well aware my teammate names are above their head, there has been an indicator since CE, but someone’s in combat a teammate comes from behind to help. Before you easily recognized it was a teammate due to their armor color.

Now in Infinite, let’s say this scenario happened where teammate come from behind you as you just killed an enemy with red armor and the teammate who jumped in that same location with said red armor, my twitch instinct it to Nade/shoot said person. With such high TTK, a split second means everything. Gosh forbid I have rockets and use them in that same scenario. That be a huge change of pace in the game and may lose due to that split second decision all due to an armor color change.

I had this problem a lot also. If my teammates had red armor this really through me for a lip. Waste several rockets on them lol.
