Team Colors: Anyone Else?

I’m just wondering something, back in the first Halo 4 Gameplay Reveal, the Spartan Red and Blue team colors were dark red and almost purplish blue, similar to how they were in Halo 2, 3, and Reach. But since then, the Red and Blue armor is now almost pink and extremely light blue, respectively. Am I the only one who’s not so fond of this change?

Who else thinks they’d look better how they were in the original video?Reference

Yea they looked cooler then though blue is a bit too purple. Also the weapons sounds seemed better then.

I dont see the pink color resemblance you mention in the newer Red Team color, its just red and looks pretty much exactly how it did in the earliest Gameplay Videos and Halo Reach. What your referencing and seeing as far as the color is the change lighting and different environments bring out in its overall tone, and the polishing done to the graphics, engine, over the developement time. Look at some of the other pictures, videos, of gameplay on Haven and Adrift, and then go to videos of Longbow and pay close attention to the colors, details of the Armor, its clearly the same colors. Adrift itself deepens the blue’s hue and makes it appear somewhat royal blue in darkened areas and makes the red seem more vibrant and gritty, yet once the players step out into the Outdoor’s areas or into the clean light you can immediately see the Blue and Red are both the same for the most part as whats seen this weekend on the new Exile map.

I dont think they have ever changed honestly, the video you posted for Reference shows the same colors as the ones featured on Exile as well. I feel your focusing to much on how they appear at times on Adrift, what I would call royal blue and a similiar to maroon color make a appearance a few times. I kind of feel its just the possible dynamic lighting of the enviroments like stated above that is causing the confusion.

I myself enjoy the look of the deeper blue, but then again it was harder to spot at times as well due to being such a dark shade of blue in Reach. In Halo 3, I thought the blue was perfect and much better than Reach’s, but it was perhaps because Reach in general had a more grittier selection, shade, of colors instead of the more vibrant color palette of Halo 3. So dont think I dont agree with you, because I certainly do, but if this lighter shade of blue sticks around I wont mind, it certainly helps pick targets out better regardless of which team you are on.
