Team building, Socialization, and Party-up

Recently I’ve been having a bit more fun on Halo 4. I can say that it has definitely made some improvements since launch. Looking ahead, though, I can see even more improvements coming. 343 will continue to take player feedback and implement the necessary changes into the game. What concerns me however, is the lack of discussion surrounding certain aspects that involved teaming up with people.
The way the pre-game and post game lobbies function now dont really allow for much partying-up, and as a result we have players that continue to search solo in team throwdown and then come here to complain that theyre getting their butts handed to them (rightfully so). Sure, you could always invite members of the previous games to join you but if that person is already in a match they are definitely less likely to come.
Now I know players post game are kept in the same lobby until they back out. This is a problem in my opinion because what if you dont want to play with that guy that went -32 on your team but you do want to play with XxDOMESCOPE32xX that somehow went +28? Now you have to back out and invite that guy and hope he hasn’t started a match yet so he can join your game.
My point is that recent games dont seem to encourage any sort of team experience. This is one of the reasons people dont bother with mic’s anymore.

But what do you guys think? Aside from all of the “BK” trash-talk, was it better when people actually put their mics in and we were able to party up with who we want and boot the random guys? Heck, even the useless random had the power to boot whoever he wanted given he was the leader! Why hasnt this returned?

No one want to party-up anymore?

The party-up feature is great in Halo 3.

Though, I don’t see it working in Halo 4, because of JIP.

I really dont see how jip is positively affecting my matchmaking experience. It should either be radically tweaked or left out of H5 altogether.

I agree, but it’s most likely not going to happen, since 343i sees it as a success, IMO.
