you missed the point.
if someone steals your kill, they gain more rating than you.
for this reason, hyper competitive arena players will actually play against the other team, whilst doing anything they can possibly do to gain more rating than the people on THEIR team as well.
so you dont help your teammate. he dies, then you headshot his opponent. this way:
-you get the kill.
-progress the game (if you are ahead this is acceptable if winning is important, otherwise irrelevant if winning isnt important for rating purposes).
-get more rating.
-teammate loses rating because of you not helping him.
so basically you BLAM! your team while you play the game. thats moronic, to say the least. win loss should be #1 priority, and screwing your teammates over should NOT WORK AT ALL.
it should be RED TEAM versus BLUE TEAM. red team should be thinking about defeating blue team, NOT thinking about defeating blue team and the other members of red team as well; and vice versa.
