Tea-baggers

I must say, I really like Halo, Halo 5 is the first time I actually got into Halo, and I’m sure there are plenty who feel the same. Though, people tend to tea-bag, and for some reason, it’s the only time I get mad at the game. Get slaughtered out there without a single kill? Meh, I’m fine. Tea-bagger? So close to rage-quitting. This post is of opinion, so tea-baggers, no need to rage here, but here’s a message, you’re being rude and disrespectful. Tea-bagging to show your dominance or skill, or just to rub it in their face, is just disgraceful. Do us a favor and stop, make the community a bit more polite. It’s a game after all, no need to show off or provoke people. I would just like a nicer community where we can all get along without someone’s butt in our face. Thank you for your time, Spartans, have a good evening.

Edit:

I haven’t played Halo in a couple months, but I’m back. I still dislike it, and still wish for it to be reduced, but after reading all your statements and standpoints on it and the fact as it’s viewed as a tradition, my opinion has changed so I do respect it a bit more. I really liked seeing all your opinions, and still would like to see more, so keep on speaking out!

Tea-bagging has been around since the dawn of Halo, man, like a lot of us have been.

Sorry to say, but we’re not gonna stop.

That is something that makes me very angry as well. When it happens, I make it a point to go after that person the rest of the game and melee or shoot their corpse accordingly.

Good post, and welcome to Halo. Just know that not everyone in the community is like that. Like every community, there are some good and some bad.

Been in Halo since halo 2. So ive gotten use to being bagged. But I think it’s funny and also provoke competition which keeps the game fun.

Easy solution: don’t die

Yes, but I’d love to reduce it at least.

In theory I agree with you. Its stupid and immature, and not needed.

In practice I’m as guilty as the next guy. I think every once in awhile a close 1 on 1 kill you just gotta celebrate and let that other guy know that you rocked their world.

I find myself doing it in BF1 too. Running at a guy, unloading clips into each other, and just barely coming out on top. I go hog wild on a corpse and empting my clip into the air. Especially since they get to watch for 10 seconds.

I think its just something that carried over from CE1, there were only 10 weapons, no running, no fancy take downs. Just had to express yourself somehow.

What annoys me the most is when they are a good couple of feet away from your body when they do it, -Yoinking!- noobs, at least do it right the first time.

Tea-bagging is iconic to halo even though i hate it when someone does it to me it does not mean i want it to stop.
You stop teabags and you remove a fun and iconic part of halo.
Besides i doubt anybody would want to stop.

It’s so iconic there is an emblem so you know even 343 and bungie find it absolutley amusing.

Other games try to polish it of as theyre own but halo does it best!

like it or not, its not going away, it is a part of halo culture. it always has been and always will be

If they’re going to be rude, put some effort in it!

After being on the receiving end of someone else’s “bells” many times in the past, I had to extensively recondition myself to not -Yoink!- anyone ever again. It’s all down to basic logic.

Why -Yoink!- a dead body? For pleasure? To piss them off? They can’t do jack s*** to you in a contorted state! In that case, I simply leave the body alone and move on.

If I were to do it (God forbid me), I would intentionally screw with my foes by teabagging just off their body. Sorry, no teabagging for you! :stuck_out_tongue:

I know right! It’s basically virtual necrophilia.

That’s gross. Don’t go there.

Sorry to gross you out, but it’s kind of true and I’m trying to prove a point. Aagan, sorry.

Simply put, I’m not going to be an ***hole and disturb the corpses of my slain foes. Why? Because teabagging is overrated.

Disagree with me? Deal with it.

It’s also immature, rude and dsi-honorable with no gains.

If you let it get to you, then the person tbagging you wins. Just shrug it off and keep playing. If you aren’t noticeably affected by it, the person bagging will lose interest eventually.

I have a personal belief that teabaggers have already lost the match the moment they -Yoink!- someone.

In some cases for me, that is very true.

I do have a lot of fun destroying an enemy that baggs at every opportunity. Its sort of poetic justice

Tea bagging has been around since the beginning of halo and will most likely stay with it till the end. But while it may seem immature, it promotes competition and is usually just a joke or them celebrating after a good fight. In the end its just a game and there’s no reason to get upset about it, and if it bothers you that much just block that person and it should stop you from getting matched with them again.
