Recently I got lucky and got a Tartarus’ Gavel from a random weapon requisition on Attack on Sanctum. The enemy had both side bases, and my team controlled the Temple. The were pushing the temple from both sides. I found that I could single handedly hold down the entire base. The speed boost meant that I could just run in a circle around the base and I would never be ambushed or miss seeing an enemy. My team eventually drove them out and we targeted the boss (a knight) that was in the Tower Overwatch (upper level). The Gavel ripped through the knight’s health. I could have single handedly taken it down.
I am starting to learn of the power of Mythic weapons. They do actually have the ability to turn the tide of a battle. I am starting to understand why people were so aversed to Month of Mythic.
Do you have any experiences with the unstoppable power of Mythics?

Prophet’s Bane gives you permanent active camo, boosts your speed, and has a longer targeting range when zoomed (Which is why I love using Advanced Sensors with it. Crouch + Zoom = Always stealthed and longest range)
Nornfang has a ridiculous amount of ammo for a sniper and is the “new binary rifle” in that it one-shots spartans no matter where you hit them, shielded or not.
However, I hardly use the Gavel effectively… I’m pretty bad with melee weapons I admit.

There is a reason the I have hoarded 14 Prophets’ Banes. I am no good with melee weapons. There’s a time and a place for them. That time and place never seems to happen.

I once took out a gavel in WZFF when we had to defend the garage on Escape from Arc and let’s just say that it was way too OP for the prometheans to counter.

Not even vehicles can take a hit from it. I once hit a wraith in its weak spot and destroyed it so quickly that it couldn’t react to my attack.

I believe the Arclight also 1 shots (or maybe 2) the Wraith in the weak spot.
I rarely use the melee weapons because realistically the Warzone Battlefield is too dangerous. All it takes is for a few too many BR kills, one banshee or scorpion or sniper spotting you and you are toast.
They MAY be good at taking bases. However…
1 - Its extremely high risk, unless you have surprise a few guys at the doors will quickly kill you.
2 - If they do kill you, then they are going to steal your weapon and probably mulch all of your team mates.
3 - You can get a vehicle with infinite ammo and protection from normal weapons. A tank or banshee can get you just as many kills and its much less likely to fall into enemy hands.
It does apply to all power weapons but especially the melee as they are very high risk.

Same here. Having the enemy kill me, steal my weapon, and use it against my team and I is my greatest fear in WZ. The risk is just too high. That’s why I only use mythics when I know that my team is going to win.
