Bungie’s Halo 2 gave us Tartarus and the Great Schism of the Covenant; 343’s Halo Wars 2 gave us Atriox and the Banished. Both powerful and intimidating in their own means. Both possess(ed) tremendous authority, resources, might and tools at the height of their power. And both were greatly feared by both their enemies and ‘allies’.
But which is truly the most dangerous and fearful of the two? When they are compared to each other, with EVERY ounce of power, might and authority at their disposal, which one is truly the most dangerous.
Atriox, without a doubt. Everything else aside, he took on three Spartan II’s and put one of them temporarily out of action all while obtaining little damage to himself. If he had Tartarus’ Fist of Rukt with him as well, Red Team probably wouldn’t have survived the encounter.
Atriox! He’s a brute, pun intended. The mans got a whole army behind him, too! Something Tartarus most likely, wouldn’t of attained. Plus if the rings would have been activated, he’d be dead!
As much as I like Tartarus as a baddie, I have to give the advantage to Atriox. Atriox thinks through things way more than Tartarus ever did. Tarturus, as good of a leader of the Brutes as he was, was ultimately a puppet. Atriox, on the other hand, needed to use his brains as well as his brawn to defy the Covenant and create his own army. But, if there was a 1v1 between the two, I’m rooting for Tartarus.
