Tank size question

In the blog “A time for tanks” it has this;

Scorpion (Oni Requisition card next to writing)
The new iteration – the M820 – of the storied Scorpion is half the mass of the old M808 yet has nearly identical firepower and armor protection. As expected, ONI spares no expense with its “security” Scorpions, outfitting them with experimental ammunition using the latest energetic propellants. Advanced Scorpion with heavy armor and upgraded cannon.

Does this mean the Tank in Halo 5 is half the size of the tanks from other halos? or does it just mean the "ONI’ tank (AKA only this specific tank card)?

Side note; i am loving the new artistic look for all the vehicles

Just the ONI variant is smaller.

Huh, intresting. ok thanks

no, i think they mean it weighs half as much

Which is, “smaller”

Mass has to do with weight, not length. What they did is made it lighter, while still managing to pack the same firepower in comparison to the M808B variant.

If it was smaller, they would say length instead.

this

It’s the same size, just lighter. That’s it.

Its probably smaller and therefore faster.

OP is thinking of volume, which is the amount of space an object takes up or can contain.
