In big team slayer, plasma pistols should be taken out of the carbine class. Instead, put them on map with 45 second respawn. On maps like ragnarok put them inside the base, and exile put them close to spawn and respawn points. You shouldn’t be able to spawn with them in big team, especially since it’s trying to be like regular slayer. Also more grenades and weapons would be nice, like brs and lightrifles.
they could do that, But I think It could use alittle buff, maybe in magnetism or a decreased charge gtime…
so That Its worth more once you pick it up, because as of now it feels little more than a secondary…
Or make it so loadout plasma pistols don’t EMP.
> Or make it so loadout plasma pistols don’t EMP.
Wouldn’t be much of a point to the loadout Plasma Pistol due to it’s really low damage. I’d prefer it if 343i would just take out the Custom Loadouts so people can start on even footing.
> Or make it so loadout plasma pistols don’t EMP.
That seems to be the best solution in my book. They would also have to buff the Plasma Pistol so you can actually kill people with it, though. But I’d be perfectly okay with that.
Oh, and they need to reduce the number of Plasma Grenades you can start with by 1. The Plasma Pistol is only half the problem.
I agree it should be taken out of the loadouts. But can 343 really do that? Is there any way they can remove PP from loadouts? I’m pretty sure it’s not that simple.
Just a heads up, I wasn’t talking about custom loadouts, I was talking about big team slayer pro. The carbine class has a pp.
> Just a heads up, I wasn’t talking about custom loadouts, I was talking about big team slayer pro. The carbine class has a pp.
Oh, in that case, yeah. I was gonna say with the current damage on the PP the only real reason to use it in a custom is to EMP vehicles or overcharge blast someone’s shield.
But I can see your point for slayer pro. Doesn’t really fit in that mode for a secondary when that’s trying to be like classic slayer.
> Or make it so loadout plasma pistols don’t EMP.
lol, I personally got steamrolled by you in a Banshee last night on Longbow.
Excuse me for disagreeing with your statement.
ALSO,
GG, Man.
What 343 should do is take the plasma pistol out of loadouts completely, or leave it as a secondary in loadouts and decrease the magnetism and increase the amount of ammo it uses with each overcharged shot. With that being said, either take out plasma nades from the loadouts or only allow the player to have one instead of two. I can’t stand how broken vehicle combat is because of these two issues.
> Or make it so loadout plasma pistols don’t EMP.
The weapon tuning stuff doesn’t let them differentiate weapons depending on if you spawn with them or not.
I don’t see them releasing another patch purely to make the the Plasma Pistol in a loadout completely useless.
Honestly, I couldn’t disagree more. Before I get into why, I just want to make sure I’m understanding your points correctly… so you’re saying the PP makes vehicles under-powered in BTS… if so, keep reading. If not, I misunderstood you and please stop or it wont make sense and I’ll look silly (:
Vehicles, which I love btw, b/c I’m ‘that guy’… are still VERY powerful in BTS. In fact, without the PP they would be ridiculous.
I actually think they are technically a little OP still if used wisely. I go on killing sprees all the time (and I’m nothing special at all at Halo). Shoot, it’s actually hard to get someone who is using the vehicle effectively with a PP…
The alternative (removing PP or whatever) would make vehicles even more face-roll to dominate with. It’s HORRIBLE being on the other end. I love the balance and if anything buff it a little (being serious, not just trying to go to far) b/c vehicles are still pretty OP proportionally.
Also, keep in mind, when people roll with a PP that is making them worse aside from vehicle support… so it’s technically a sacrifice.
To make vehicles MORE powerful would make BTS even more noob friendly and imba (lets be honest, that’s what is great about it, but it can only go so far (: )
Just my 2 cents…

I’m sorry but I disagree with you. If you play a Big Team game and hop in a vehicle, there’s always at least two or three guys with a PP and Plasma nades that camp and wait for you to roll by, EMP you, stick you and then pull off a triple kill so easily that it actually takes no skill whatsoever. Yeah, you may occasionally pull off a few killing sprees if you have a good driver and gunner but the maps are mostly cluttered and provide many spots to camp and wait for vehicles.
The PP should be taken out of loadouts, or the tracking/magnetism should be greatly reduced and the ammo consumption for each overcharged shot should be increased. Or personally, I think it should be taken out of loadouts and should be a map spawn, along with Plasma nades (spawning with the tools to kill a vehicle right off the bat isn’t right). Halo 3 had the best vehicle combat because Players had to scramble and work together to get the power weapons or find the EMP weapon to take down vehicles, instead of turning everyone into Rambo giving them the tools to do it themselves every spawn. Also vehicles aren’t that powerful, a DMR and Sniper rifle can blow them up and people always concentrate fire on them, so a PP on top of that is overkill against vehicles.
I honestly haven’t played big team since it was slayer pro, is what you are saying: when they added radar they also added PP secondaries for the carbine?
If that’s the case: That’s silly! No one asked for PP secondaries, just radar.
I’d rather they add the boltshot to the forerunner loadout rather than disable/remove the plasma pistol.
If you start out with the pp do you get stickies too? I thought everyone got frags.

The Plasma Pistol secondary has been there since Big Team Slayer Pro (now just Big Team Slayer) launched. A lot of people haven’t realized
> If you start out with the pp do you get stickies too? I thought everyone got frags.
I haven’t played for a while so this might have changed, but the Carbine loadout did feature sticky grenades & a Plasma Pistol.
Simple solution, put Plasma Pistols on maps, take them out of loadouts
