I’m going back and forth between Quick Play and Team Slayer since i got challenges for oddball, ctf and slayer, the thing is Slayer challenges doesn’t count in quickplay.
One match on team slayer, then i get to quick play and slayer again, no oddball, no ctf, no strongholds. A bit tiresome, don’t have anymore challenges swaps but not buying those.
Quick Play is meant to be the social grab bag for people to just hop into. What they need to do is fix the challenges so they’re not playlist specific and just game type specific at most. The more general you make the challenges the healthier/happier the player base will be. You can just play what you want and not be forced into a playlist you have no interest in what so ever. I’m not a Ranked guy so when they did a bunch of Ranked challenges during one of the events I stopped playing because all my challenges were now Ranked and I refused to waist swaps on them.
Having something like Get 10 Headshots in Fiesta is just dumb. Sure you can get headshots with any headshot weapon so you have plenty of chances to get those kills, but this is Fiesta we’re talking about. You’re not going for headshots unless you have the Sniper or Shock Rifle. Fiesta is a Power Weapon game. Of course you’ll get normal weapons and sometimes only normal weapons, but good luck getting that headshot when you have Disruptor and Sidekick.
They really should instead have Quick Play be anything, then separate Flag/Ball/Zone Objective playlist like MCC, until we get KOTH in Season 2, then we can have Flag and Ball and Zone Control be separate like MCC.

Eventually they will add Infection, Assault, Gun Game, Shotty Snipers, etc, and can make a Grab Bag playlist for once we have even more playlists, if “the UI can’t handle” all these modes
It doesnt make sense for challenges to be playlist specific.
