Take plasma pistol out of loadout

AS you guys know, the plasma pistol is a map spawn weapon-turned secondary in halo 4 that trades the ability to headshot like other secondary’s for a large charge that can take out enemy shields or temporarily disable an enemy vehicle.

personally, I feel that this weapon had NO place as a secondary in halo for and should’ve been on ordinance since the job of a secondary is to
.have a backup in case your primary’s ammo runs out
.help in CQC situations when using a long ranged weapon
.balance out the automatics at longer ranges
.finish off enemies

the plasma is terrible at all these and it shouldn’t be a secondary…
The only point of this weapon is its charge ability. while it proves to be extremely useful in big team and in 1v1 situations, its more of a weapon that you would want to control in a spawn rather than spawn with…
Of course, this is my opinion. But I just feel that the game would benefit if we didn’t spawn with a weapon that’s practically ordinance.
Now, I have a great idea for a replacement in halo. What if we had a secondary that had damage drop-off? now hang on give this idea a chance.
I was thinking of a revolver type weapon that had,
.a drop-off in damage, requiring more shots per kill than the magnum with gaining range and vise versa in close
.a low amount of auto aim and magnetism to compensate
. a large amount of bloom than the magnum
. a 3sk at point blank and a 7sk at large ranges
.a 5 bullet clip with fast reload times
. large deviation at extreme ranges
Overall, im thinking of a revolver similar to the enforcer in Team Fortress 2 ( here’s a link to see a demonstration of that weapon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLZubC-uwrY)
would be a perfect replacement to the plasma and a well suiting secondary in the halo armory.

In the end… after the proffesionallness of my extremely professionally professional argument (did I mention its professional?), even if you strongly disagree with my revolver idea, I hope we can all agree that the plasma pistol should be used as an ordinance instead of a secondary… Then the game would be much more balance… but that’s my opinion, I could be wrong :wink:

The Plasma Pistol won’t be removed from loadouts in Halo 4, not while you get a Plasma Pistol w/ a skin from a Specialization as a reward.

You remove it and you remove that reward from people.

As for future titles, Plasma Pistols shouldn’t be available in loadouts, period.

Agreed. Its very annoying to keep getting stunned every second.

Thank you… I agree While it probably is meaningless to remove now… if it is put as ordinance in the next halo ill be satisfied :stuck_out_tongue:

…only if you can get the drop on people… im talking about getting ambushed or outnumbered… in those situations you’ll be dead before the charge is done

Or you could shoot thrice and melee.

getting those 3 shots alone will be hard… and as I said im talking about when THEY get the drop on YOU so im assuming they fired before you saw them… so at that point getting close to hit with those plasma shots and a melee is pretty unlikely… unless your opponent sucks major -Yoink-
