Ey why not.
It’s not a loading screen buddy.

I have noticed that the animations are not the same. Meaning that on my screen the first player might be doing the punching animation, while on your screen they are doing the arms folded animation.
I figured it would be a good customization, but maybe because it is not consistent it would be harder to implement.
I think it would be cool if they had emotes you can earn or buy. Masterchief knows how to dance in Fortnite, so why not in Halo?
Halo is not Fortnite . There too different types of games aimed at different types of players. Halo trying to be something else is what got us in this mess in the first place.
Thats true, before a game starts in previous Halo games, I always looked at other players profiles in the pre-lobby. That was very showcase enough already.
If I was able to select a series of emotes I liked, and shuffle between them, or even just one, I would like the feature. As it stands, it makes my spartan look cringe. Not every fight has to have the cool-guy-over-the-shoulder-glance or random shadowboxing. There aren’t enough to keep variety anyway, half the time the entire line will do the same emote and look like a set of dolls.
I could see other Spartans well enough before, I don’t need to see who wasted money on HCS crap. As someone suggested, only having our 4 person party stand around by the pelican is a waste, if the whole thing is just a VR sim again anyway why not show every spartan in the match as they load? It would make the world feel denser, and show the comeradery that Lone Wolves tried to pretend was real.
Just my theory but I can do it on purpose every game(back when I still played infinite). Could be attributed to various hardware differences playing together. Playing on PC with an SSD my game might load in a moment before others, or it could be the server waiting for everyone to load in… But on the black screen right before the posing I can audibly hear my Spartan’s feet on the ground and I can move around. Sometimes it can enough to grab a weapon off a rack before anyone else, and just as many times I’m facing backwards and confused.
We can’t even see K/D. No way we’ll see stats in game pre game.
K/D was dropped in favour of KDA as it is a more useful stat for post-game.
there’s no way to see player/progression stats in the game at all… its been like that since halo 4 … I had friends that stopped playing due to moving everything on a website… but now app campanion is pretty much standard across most games.
id settle for progression or mmr - just a quick snapshot of my team. (although with low population it would drive players to quit if they get matched up with lower skilled players.)
Maybe the endless is a fully fledged halo game and I get more luck.
I like seeing everyone’s goofy outfits before my Big Team Skockets game starts.
You’re right! Halo isn’t fortnite. You can have emotes without being Fortnite, you know.
This guy gets it.
You can also remove the annoying map overview intro screens. I only have 20hrs and I’m already sick of the player showcase and map showcase before every match. Just get to the game!
Pre game lobby would be great
Halo is a by-the-second game and team game. Meaning you can lose a lot by misplay and is a huge disadvantage being a man down. Thats why there are many trick jumps and movement mechanics in gameplay as well.
Having emotes just neglect all of this. If I’m already annoyed of teammates doing nothing in the back meleeings each other, I would be even more seeing them emote. Especially if they do it toxically on a dead enemy.
Emotes are not an evolution for Halo. It will just encourage bad gameplay.
t-bagging is an emote
It doesn’t really affect the gameplay so I don’t see the reason to remove it
If it’s not a loading screen, then I don’t see the functionality. If they can’t make more animations to keep us from seeing the same glance-turn-around animation 2-4 times in a row, then I’d rather see nothing.
But all the good times we had with tham like being on the other side of the map look at a wall. ![]()
