personally i like how they changed the seasons to two months. Made it easier to rank higher and actually able to play in those levels for awhile. Sometimes work makes it hard to get time to play so its nice that you have two months to rank up.

Do we get anything at the end of the season or is the csr more just for matchmaking purposes?
I like it. Hoping to be able to hit champion next season in FFA.

Hmmm. I found it to be just the opposite actually. Most of the time I was the lowest ranked player in the match. Was a bit disappointing to be gold 5 in Arena and playing Diamonds and Onyx level players. Which wouldn’t be so bad if my goal was to try to get to those ranks. But it’s not. I can only hope my ranking in this go around takes a bit of a dive so I get matched properly.

I think it’s just so that the game matches you into an even game cough sometimes wheeze

the point is to get people to come back every season and try to do better. By resetting the ranks they try to entice players back to improve.
i strongly dislike it. i lost my interest because i get ranked against higher and better players which ruins the fun…
It is a tremendous improvement! I am hoping that they eventually take it a step further and make them three months long… you know, just like seasons!
The only problem I have with the longer seasons is that you can’t rank down levels. If you get a high rank off the bat or get a lucky streak with match making you could be stuck playing diamond/onyx for 2 months when you’re a gold/low platinum.

Most likely it’s to give someone a chance who got un/lucky enough to have a really good team to play with end up ranking them out of their skillzone.
It could also be that if you left it as a constant running thing, then a new player would be buried under an enormous undertaking of ranking up out of whatever their initial skill range is because of how high the champions got through their W/L and whatever else they use in their scale for ranking.
I’m not crazy about it, but I also don’t mind the 2 month system. 1 month or 2 month seasons would be fine by me.
My friend, on the other hand, loves the 2 month system. He wants it to stay.

unfortunately the bronze/silver/gold range is where the smurfs and boosters appear to live as well that doesn’t help anyone who actually is ranked in that bracket.
