Take On Halo Infinite Launch

So this is something i feel like should be heard by the Dev , is that the Co-op community is alot bigger than people think , I am one of them , 90% of me playing halo is just the campaign in Coop , i don’t do single player at all , and multiplayer i only play like 3-4 matches every 2 weeks. my focus always been playing the campaign coop , with my BFF we played every Halo in Coop together And bonded Over halo 1 on the OG xbox now , if the coop was being delayed for 2weeks that would be fine , but 3 months i feel is a little much , mostly because when you think about it spoilers are gonna happen , dodging them for 2 weeks is doable but 3 months is something else , we live in a day and age where internet is all around us , Social media is huge and information about the games are everywhere. I’ll take an example, Twelve minute a game that just came out that i was really looking forward to play because i loved the concept! i was on youtube scrolling through the home screen just to see if there would be something interesting and i got spoiled a MAJOR plot of the story , so when it came around to play the game i wasn’t as excited knowing this information. Now what i feel like should be done is when you look at it , there’s people who only wants to play multiplayer and people who like me only care about the campaign , what i think should be done is they release the multiplayer on the release date they planned , but wait for the campaign for the coop to be ready to release it , this way , we can all experience it at the same time without risking of spoilers or anything like it or going literally of any media for 3 months (which is a hard task trying to dodge spoilers like that). Another example of this being an issue , i wasn’t even looking for Infinite leaks , i was just going through my youtube home page again and i got spoiled leaked picture and info by accident because youtube recommended me a certain channel because i follow alot of halo channels so , i think in a way , it would be the best way to handle it. That’s my take on it

At the same time why should they hold on to a completed game outside of not having Forge and co-op. Late technical issues most likely came up. This is the problem not having QA prior to Covid.

well that why i am saying release the multi when on they planned release date and wait for campaign , cause if we are being honest most of who play the campaign plays it coop , so to me not seeing a halo campaign being coop feels like its missing one of its core componement , while multiplayer is all about the multiplayer , forge while being a a really good thing is a feature mostly used for creativity by the community to make game modes! theres a big difference with forge and coop , since they planned to release the coop on season 2 , why not just release the campaign on season 2 ? if they wanna release content by season why split it to another season? if we think about it they are releasing Campaign and Multi On Season 1 , but why only then release a big feature of the campaign on season 2 ? example lets say , they release a DLC for campaign and split it in two part , season lets say 4 and 5 , but they are the same DLC , because they had issues with idk , again coop or certain missions , why not just wait for season 5 for the full thing ?

Okay, since we’re gonna go into personal experiences. I’m mainly a solo campaign person, I don’t touch coop on MCC really because of the god awful netcode and lag, but why is it fair or okay for me and my friends, and realistically a mass majority of players to have to wait half a year for something that is content complete, save for a few features. Big features, yes, but not vital to the core experience. But delaying the game for coop is very selfish I believe. You all say you don’t want spoilers, but guess what, same here. We have to wait 3 months for launch and have to avoid the spoilers out there right now. I’m sure with the upcoming flights people will datamine the files and get more spoilers for the campaign out there. So instead of 3 months, you want it to be 6 months because your personal experience won’t be there on day 1. I feel for you, and I’m sorry, but delaying is not the answer. If you want to wait 3 months for the update with coop, that’s all on you. But it is extremely selfish to ask for the game to be delayed for the mass majority of people who won’t even touch the feature at launch.

Edit: most people don’t play coop. On xbox and pc, an average of around 40-45% of players completed the “complete a campaign mission in coop”. That’s just under half. Now that is a large amount, but who’s to say how many of them got that in the first 3 months of the game being out. Check r/Halo, they’ve had many threads over there with the exact numbers and sources.

yeah mass majority wont even care about the campaign thats why i am saying release the multiplayer on their planned release date and wait for the campaign , this way , people are happy they get their multiplayer and the campaign can wait , you might play solo , but this isnt just about me who play coop this is about the community , if you look theres alot more players playing coop than playing solo , i am not saying delay the whole game , their main focus anyway is multiplayer , while campaign being important , multiplayer is gonna be their big money maker , but in the end , what do people want? they just want halo , couldnt care if they just released NOW and with bots only , people would still enjoy it , so why no just release the Multi for season 1 and wait for season 2 for campaign ?

So that the game can be content complete?
Like, I don’t know what to tell you, you literally gave the answer yourself within your question.

Yeah, well, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.

Not more or less selfish than refusing a delay because “I want my game nooooooooowwwwwww…”

Vague theories based on game files from dataminers are not even remotely on the same level as the game literally being out in the open with the entire campaign uploaded to YouTube Day1 by several dozen streamers.

That’s a laughable simplification of the entire situation.
A game releasing incomplete is independent of how many people will actually miss the features that aren’t available.

Again, not more or less selfish than those people who outright refuse a delay because they don’t want to wait three months.
