Just turn it off and fix it. I’m tired of trying to play a broken game. You failed. All you had to do is rerelease halo 2. Even when you get in a game it doesn’t feel like halo 2. So many problems just getting a game and you don’t even have proper playlists for halo 2. “Play halo 2 exactly the way it shipped 10 years ago” Yeah you conned me out of my money and now I’m stuck with a worthless xbox one. Fanboys can attack me if you want but this console is a piece of junk compared to ps4. So I’m done until everything is fixed and I may not even come back then. I loved halo 2 and I miss all the fun I had with my friends playing it but this is just an insult to those memories.
I’d be okay with taking it offline for a few days to get it fixed. doubt it happens though. although this ‘downloading latest data’ menu seems to mean the game is offline, because nothing is downloading…

343 on the other hand is a very below par company, yes they conned us and yes they are incompetent pieces of human garbage. I along with many others will be returning this game.
Hate to say it, but as much as CoD is a pure joke now, even they ensure their servers are working. Taking it completely offline is something they should have done day one with all the amount of issues it had, one update isn’t going to fix it.

Have you played a ps4? It has never locked up on me. Xbox has locked up 4 times in one week. Not from playing Halo either. It locked up twice just sitting on home screen and 2 more times trying to open messages. It is super slow opening apps. The ps4 is always fast and snappy. Plus you have to buy a freaking charging kit for xbox. Plus tons of other things I’ve noticed but I don’t really feel like arguing with you over consoles. That is just my opinion. But as far as buying an xbox just for halo 2, I would do it again if I knew for sure I could play the real halo 2 just like it was 10 years ago. Like they said it would be.
