JIP is one of those things where I don’t think 343 even cares about. It’s been broken since forever and it hasn’t had a single update that I know of.
Just go into matchmaking with at least one other person. It reduces JIP substantially

Likely because he/she gets put into hopeless losing matches. That’s the typical reason.
It’s frustrating, but with the high number of quitters, it is needed.
If they took it away, everybody would complain smh

lol nope when im in lobby about to match a game and i dont see the map name i can tell im about to match in a middle of a game and when im STILL IN THE LOBBY SCREEN i join a friend or quit out halo so i dont have to play in a middle of a figgen game…but for some reason it counts as me being in the game and causes me a loss and causes my KDA to go down even tho i never even joined the friggen game.

Jip is needed to fill in early quitters.
however I do think it needs work in halo 5s case. Shut jip off after a set amount of time and when the score is so far apart at that set time.
From personal experience i dont have to many issues, but if I’m a dev id be trying to limit its frustration for those who do consistently get it, but I would never remove it, it’s absolutely needed to fill in for quitters and to help even the teams out and potentially help a losing team out if that jip player ends up being the difference maker.
honestly if I had control over jip another way I’d punish quitters is by making them have to jip majority of the time, if they still quit then I guess just ban them more.

So you’re loading in the game when you’re quitting? That’s still quitting.
If you were in the pre-game lobby, you would never know you’re joining a JIP’d game, because you haven’t connected to the server yet.
You are a major reason Join In Progress exists to begin with.

So…halo 5 then. Even with JIP I’ve seen people quit, be replaced, and those people quit.

Because you’re quitting the game to prevent yourself from replacing someone else, continuing the problem…
You’re gonna say “But I was in the lobby!”, you were connecting to the game, ban effects are in place there to because you’re connected to the server.
