Just curious what people chose to do with Halo 4’s DLC.
Not sure what you mean by treating us fairly. Do you mean do we think the maps are good? Or are you talking about the price?
Also, there’s no guarantee they’ll release any more DLC. Most games I know of only have 3 DLC’s.
edited the poll, but still forgot to delete the last couple words.
I probably wont be playing after the weapon tuning falls flat on its face. I barely play once a week anymore. Honestly I just want this game to go away now. Its a failure as a halo game. Also don’t give the it sold so much see da moneys crap. Thats the kind of thinking that put halo where it is now.
I understand your frustration but why will the tuning fall flat on it’s face? It all looks pretty good.
As for the poll, it’s not clear to me what is being asked.
If the maps aren’t better implemented into matchmaking, no I probably wont buy more map packs because I hardly ever see them.
Well I’m not technically sure you could say I really BOUGHT them seeing as they came with my limited edition.
I feel like 343 burned me with the DLC from Reach and I decided not to buy any map-packs for Halo 4. Seems to have been the smart thing since the first two DLC packs no longer have their own dedicated playlist and rarely pop up during matchmaking, as I’ve read on quite a few other forum posts.
It’s really frustrating to me that 343 would charge money for extra content and then remove the communities ability to play those maps in MM.
If I decided not to purchase the season pass or buy all the map packs because of the way 343 handled the DLC with Reach and to this point, treating it in Halo 4, I’m sure there are other players who decided the same thing.
I just don’t understand how a company envisions further building a player base, or supporting an already established one, by alienating a portion of it with bad business practices. I paid for the DLC which extends and supplements the core mulitplayer game and should, at that point, ALWAYS be part of the experience… low player count or not.
Hopefully when the Castle playlist goes, we’ll get two sets of playlists for DLC (one for 4v4, and another for like 6v6 or 8v8). It’s not gonna destroy the world to have only tow DLC-required playlists.
But as far as DLC for H4 goes, I really haven’t felt that it has improved my experiences of the game nor has gotten me that excited to play it (except Forge Island due to me being a forger). The packs just didn’t have the “umph” that Halo 3’s did for me, but then again I was younger back then, I had more friends who played H3, and there were DLC requirements for the majority of the playlists (which I think was awesome).
All in all, I just hope there will be more support for H4’s DLC in the future than that of the sub-par job that was done with Reach’s first two DLC’s.
I will not be buying any more DLC.
I wasn’t thrilled with the 5 non big team maps that launched with the game, so I purchased the map pass expecting more small maps. I was disappointed with the amount of small maps that were released, and because of the various other issues I have with multiplayer I haven’t played halo much in the past 2 or 3 months. With the small population playing halo, I wouldn’t expect to play much of any new DLC that comes out from now on.
I can’t say much because I haven’t bought any anyway because I don’t see the point.
In games like Halo I find it pointless so no, I will not be buying.
Games like Halo wars DLC with extra gametypes and maps. All my money seen as I have the option to vs AI on them.
