take a moment just to discuss the good bits of H5

lets think positively about Halo 5 (I love this halo nearly as much as I loved 2 and reach), I know you may feel the urge to try and include bad stuff but for the purposes of this thread we are looking PURELY at the good aspects as there are far too many negative threads here.

I personally really enjoy the gameplay, specifically the mechanics and the weapon balancing. I feel that 343 hit precisely the right balance of modernisation in terms of thrust and clamber, and I love how every weapon can be lethal if used correctly, I always like to roll BR and SMG as its so consistant, and used properly it can be used to defend routes on the maps to keep safe areas for flag runners and bombs, but you can also rack up some serious kills. there are no throwaway guns anymore either, the AR can actually get kills, so can the SMG. its not just a BR/DMR meta anymore
I like the art style, I wouldn’t say its perfect but I do enjoy it. I like how 343 remodelled a lot of the weapons by cutting them down, making them more functional to fit in with the theme of booster packs and maneuverability . the rocket launcher is one major example it used to be a giant nuke launcher but now it is more of a precision death tool that still packs a punch but is reasonably powered. AND as a side note 343 chucked back in the old style one just to keep us lot happy. the maps are also getting better, I love truth and lso the latest map forerunner style.
the game modes now that they are all beginning to be released are god -Yoink!- near perfect, grifball is the appropriate level of skill and carnage and infection is probably the best since halo 3’s. warzone is a bit shaky and the games do tend to last a while but when you catch a good spree or finish the enemy core full solo theres a real sense of satisfaction and wz assault reminds me of reaches invasion mode but with a bit more variation, personally I did all night req grinds in wz assault
this brings me to the req collection and req system, it might seem random and unforgiving but if you use patience, something which the old school players harp on about but never seem to show themselves, as well asa bit of farming you can land some of the really good stuff in your golds, I found the challenge of farming silvers rewarding as every single gold I opened had really nice stuff in there, once I got a ultra rare sniper cert alongside a locus helmet (which looks amazing)

I am most definitely feeling the urge. Must. Keep. Criticism. Inside.

Vehicle driving mechanics feel reminiscent of Halo CE. Aiming feels pretty smooth. Forge is great.

That’s all I got.

No DLC to buy.

Not to derail, but I red the title and thought “A moment is all it will take to explain the good parts! HEY-OH!”
But seriously, I love this game. I find the mechanics and gameplay to be superior to Reach (not knocking Reach but I didn’t like it as much from a MP aspect), the weapon sandbox is near perfect in terms of balancing and usefulness ( despite redundancies within the box itself) and this is the craziest Forge to date!

The mechanics of the game are great, except Spartan charge that is horrible. I don like the aiming and the weapon balance of arena.
