Tactical Packages

  • Firepower Package
The ability to carry two primary weapons
  • Shield Package
Allows your shield to recharge quicker

I think these so called perks should be left out from the franchise and that 343 have made one idea too many.

But what do you as a community think?

I agree. I could’ve dealt with all of the other stuff, but this is a bit too far. AAs can be countered, power weapons will drop in a pattern, everyone will be picking the same starting weapons after awhile, and the new scoring system will still have the better team come out on top.

These “perks” though…you can’t exactly counter someone w/ quicker shields or an enhanced motion tracker. Having someone start out w/ 2 primary weapons isn’t too bad to me b/c it’s really no different than how some players would pick up BRs on the map in AR/Mag matches right after they spawned. The rest of these things though like enhanced motion trackers, unlimited sprint, etc. All you can do is just hope someone on the other team doesn’t have them b/c there just isn’t a way to fight that kind of advantage.

I’m hoping specialization and ordinance just stay in Infinity Slayer. Regular Team Slayer should just be like Reach, but w/ personal loadouts, new scoring system, and power weapon drops. It should just block specializations in your loadout, doesn’t let you call in ordinance, etc. Then there is Classic which is the same Halo we know and love for over 10 years now.

On the other side, I think these can work. And don’t get me wrong, they are a change away from what we know, but if they are implemented carefully I think it’ll be all right. They just need to be sure that they are balanced, and I trust 343 will take lessons from Bungie and really do this right. Also, two primary weapons? The grunts shall feel the power of my two ARs!

As long as these are minimal, so that there is a difference but not enough of one where someone with a perk will always take down a player without them, then they make no never minds to me

They dont really matter. There is a nice balance bewteen them. As long as we dont get game changing perks like the Call of Duty ones Im ok with it. Ive played a lot of Battlefield 3 and I dont really pay attention to the ``perks`there.

The regen one sound iffy because from the looks of things shields already recharge fast but the others don’t really matter. CoD perks are truly gameplay altering, these don’t seem like they will be.
